Food was good service great veg and vegan options great we had 2 veggies in our party.

This place is amazing but what truly made this a once in a lifetime experience was my waiter Michael Healy he catered to my every need was very kind and was just overall amazing at his job please give this man a raise.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful early dinner here last Thursday. The service and ambiance were matched by the high quality food at very reasonable prices.

Great little spot. Food was beautiful, friendly staff and great service. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Was very good value for money. Will definitely return.

The online reviews were a bit older but I can report that as of August 2025 Pipers is excellent. Between the 5 of us we had mushroom starter (amazing), soup, duck, salmon, and lamb and it was all perfect, couldn't ask for better. Great service, and the back of house is doing great work. Best meal we've had in County Clare in a long time. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 for atmosphere because security cameras feel a little under the eye of big brother but it's standard practice everywhere these days. Definitely worth the trip and thanks to the staff for a great evening!

Absolutely surprisingly flavorful foods! In the midst of what seems to be a bit of a sleepy town, we rolled into the Peppermill after 8 on a Friday night to find ourselves among three birthday celebrations clearly enjoying both friendly environment and delicious meals. We didn’t drink, so our bill reflects just 2 mains and a pavlova dessert (interestingly sort of stuffed with a cream) and totaled €65. We had two dinners featuring fish fillets. Both were layered with nuanced flavor and were presented beautifully. The bake was especially interesting and prepared perfectly. We considered going back the next night. Like all the places we ate in Ireland, once you’ve got your food, the staff forgets you, even to the point of having to chase someone down to pay. This adds a bit of downtime to one’s meal, even if it is them trying not to rush you.

I hoped to park up at their campsite, but hadn’t booked and they were full. Inez was so kind and while I sunk a pint of the black stuff, she sorted out a space in their garden. In return, I scrubbed up in the campsite showers and return to the bar for a huge slab of Irish beef. 11oz steak with all the trimmings. And another pint of black stout. Then a couple of Irish whiskeys. Slept beautifully.
