The Pipers Inn in

Called in for lunch today as I was working locally. I just love this place. The location, the quality food that is reasonable priced. It was par for the course again today. Perfectly cooked vegetables, delicious mashed potatoes, succulent leg of lamb with mouthwatering gravy. It was a 5 star experience as I expected. The waitress today, though, really let the place down. She was on her own, so initially, I put her lack of engagement down to this. I soon realised there were only 2 other tables to service. Initially, she seemed to be busy with a book used for reservations until a customer came to the bar to pay. This man had been waiting for her arrival to pay the bill and became impatient. When the waitress approached the bar, I then saw her phone on the book and realised her reason for keeping her back on the very few customers present in the restaurant. I highly recommend this place and have done so for over 20 years. The terrible service I experienced today won't deter my frequent visits, but I feel it's a greek tragedy that one employee can have such a negative impact on this awesome place. Every time I had been there prior to today, I found the staff approachable and very polite. Not today, though. Even when paying the bill, there was nothing. Honestly, I have had better engagement in McDonald's.

Got seated quickly on a weekend, with no reservation (off season). The spicy chicken noodles had a great taste, though the chicken was a bit on the dry side.

Beautiful food and great service

Once of the nicest restaurants around. Food is fabulous and great value. A little bit out location wise but worth the trip.

Our 3rd time here. The previous 2 times a lady was there running the restaurant and things definitely run much smoother. Food was good but not quite as good as last year or year before. I opted for special monkfish dish. It was nice but very small portion of fish. Monkfish was overcooked. Deducting 1 star for my food. We also ordered beer batter Hake which was very nice. Brie starters were lovely. The olives in the salads are a really nice touch adding a little bit of luxury to your meal. Chips are AWFUL. Please change them!! Staff need a little training and could be a little more friendly. Deduct 1 star. Ultimately, I hope to return again & I would recommend.

A regular spot for me and the family tucked away in the hills. Manager is one of the best ppl you can meet she couldnt do enough for us and very good food

Excellent. Out in the country on the way from Killaloe to Tuamgraney. Manageress great worker and keen to maintain a good business for customers. Good chefs and staff. My favourite eating place for over 20 years. Keep up the excellent work. Go try it but phone to book . Closed Monday and Tuesday. Not sure about Wednesdays. Enjoy!
