Cracking food, brilliant atmosphere, and service that makes you feel genuinely looked after. Still giving it five stars despite the tragic wine. The Malbec tasted like despair and the Prosecco had all the refinement of puddle. Thankfully, the beer was spot on. Lesson learned, stick to what Ireland does well. Now, the food. The Raven French Tip might be called a sandwich, but that’s underselling it. This was a towering stack of slow-cooked, fall-apart beef, soaked in rich gravy, all tucked into a brioche sub roll that held it all together beautifully. Every bite was indulgent, messy, and completely worth it. Like the best parts of a roast dinner you can eat with your hands. The tacos were bursting with flavour and the giant mozzarella sticks were ridiculous in the best possible way. Crispy, melty, and practically a meal on their own. Just get them. I’ll be back next time I’m in Cork. I’ll raise a pint, not a glass of wine.

Great spot for a date or catch up with friends, or even a solo date spot. Very relaxed atmosphere, stylish inheritors, great food. Tried several bar bites and enjoyed my seat by the window. Can get a bit busy so have patience with your waiters!

We went here for a drink, service is good, the staff are very friendly. Good choice of wines and cocktails. They do food and what I saw looked good.

The Raven is our favourite bar in Cork City. The welcome on every visit is amazing. They remember our favourite table and regular cocktail order. The food is really tasty and innovative and the drinks are top class. We like Mondays when it’s quieter and the wine is a bargain but every night of the week is a treat. Myself and my husband are slightly (!) older than the average clientele but we never feel out of place and honestly love the food and ambience. I recommended The Raven to a 2star Michelin chef and he loved it too. It gets very busy especially at weekends- so book in advance if you can.
