🌳✨ A Truly Exceptional Experience at Liss Ard Estate ✨🌳
From the moment you arrive at Liss Ard Estate, you’re embraced by an atmosphere of quiet opulence and timeless beauty. The hotel itself is exquisite — elegant, luxurious, and meticulously designed — complemented by a menu that showcases fabulous, locally inspired cuisine.
But it’s the estate grounds that truly captivate. The serene beauty of the Sky Garden, the secluded passageways winding through ancient woodlands, and the picturesque lake create a magical sense of escape. Liss Ard is more than a hotel — it’s an experience, a place where nature and comfort come together in perfect harmony.
From all of us at Mo Farm, a heartfelt thank you to the team at Liss Ard for an unforgettable stay. A truly exceptional destination that we highly recommend. 🌳🌅🍷

My husband and I spent two nights here to celebrate a birthday. A complementary bottle of bubbles was in place in our room upon arrival. This is a very peaceful, high end place to stay. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay relaxed and enjoyable! We made use of the no charge kayaks on the lake and really enjoyed the sauna on the lakeside. We would recommend this hotel for a restorative weekend away with excellent food and drink to boot!

My husband and I both had a Deep Tissue massage with Johnny at the Wellness Centre. It was thoroughly relaxing and we highly recommend it. Such a beautiful setting for it too. Johnny made us feel very welcome and comfortable.
Can’t recommend the massage or Johnny enough! Thanks so much.

Beautiful estate and landscape with trails and James Turrell Sky Garden. The chef at the restaurant worked without prior notice to give us exceptional vegan options and also accommodating my food allergies. Wonderful library. We will return.

We had a very relaxing stay, thanks to the hotel’s limited number of rooms, which made for a peaceful atmosphere. The open fire in the evening was a lovely touch, adding to the cozy ambiance. Our room was modern and well-equipped, complete with a Nespresso coffee machine. However, there was an unpleasant smell in the room, which may have been due to animals being allowed to stay there.
The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay, which made a big difference. However, dining options were quite limited. The only available choice was the restaurant menu, which doesn’t cater to all needs. For example, after a late lunch one day, we wanted a small bite in the evening but found there was no bar menu—only the full restaurant menu, which is quite expensive for the portion sizes. Given that there are also limited dining options locally in Skibbereen town, it would be helpful if the hotel offered a more flexible bar menu.
That said, the hotel’s grounds are beautifully maintained, with lovely walking trails that add to the charm of the location. Overall, it’s a great place to unwind, with excellent service, but a few improvements in dining options and room freshness would make the experience even better.

Just went for lunch on Christmas Eve. Limited menu Soup some sandwiches and some desserts. Made a booking. It's like we never did, took our seats it was very quiet. Waiter arrived with menus and took our order only to return to say there was no soup. Waiter was very apologetic also embarrassed. We placed our order for sandwiches which arrived and to be honest Iv had better. Won't repeat!!
