The River Club in Cork

Went for the Grill Room Sunday Roast for 2, hugely disappointing, None of the 3 meats served were roast or part of an actual roasted joint, they were simply normal cuts of meat, also no roast potatoes and the portion sizes were terrible.

Lovely place. Good environment. Nice terrace. Good vibe. However, the main point is, after the dinner experience... do I want to be back? Is it cost price benefits balanced? Probably not. Way too costly for the "return of investment" I see a lot of reviews about such amazing food, but let's be honest, amazing is something else. This is just ok. Good and friendly service.

Really fun, up scale restaurant. We sat in the patio area which was beautifully decorate with flowers and was very aesthetically picturesque. I definitely think dressing up a bit to go here, nothing fancy, but I did feel underdressed wearing jeans and a crewneck (we came from traveling). It is in a hotel so convenient for some, but we were staying a few blocks down. Food was delicious and a 5/5! We ordered a handful of small plates and we left full. Plenty vegetarian options and protein plates. Cocktails were delicious and SO pretty. Everything was plated well and overall the service was great. It took a long while to get our check and we did ask a few times. It did get busier, but knocking a star down for that as it did take a long while.

Wonderful. They have gluten-free Fish and Chips and it was wonderful. Very friendly and lovely atmosphere in a really nice hotel. They take allergies seriously as well. Highly recommend.

The quality of the food is not worth the price, there are much better options close by. I was staying in the hotel and would not recommend having the breakfast.

Late afternoon meal. We enjoyed ourselves, nice relaxing atmosphere.

Great service and the food was superb! I had the squash pasta dish and my husband had a ribeye, both very good. Elluira gave great service and suggestions. Drinks from the bar were different and nice! I recommend!

We only came for drinks, however the food menu sounded amazing. The ambiance of this bar/restaurant was so unique. Truly enjoyed looking around. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to order anything myself other than a nonalcoholic wine, but I did have a tiny sip of my first Guinness and it was an Irish dream! I would not recommend a nonalcoholic wine… haha not the bars fault… it’s truly unnatural but I thought I’d give it a try

We sat in outdoor seating area near river and enjoyed the view with rain sputtering outside the windows. We enjoyed signature drinks and Peroni. The soup was mushroom and garlic with Guinness brown bread- very tasty. The quinoa salad was good and the shrimp and chili sauce was delicious.
