Food & service was excellent. The one issue we had was how cold we were while in there. It was one of the coldest days in Galway but I feel the restaurant should have been heated a bit better.

gorgeous cozy restaurant. we got the oysters and prawns for the starters - SO fresh and delicious. i got the sea bass for main and my partner got the sirloin. O M G. we couldn’t get over how amazing it was. finished it off with the apple crumb. service was excellent !! can’t wait to return!

Nice place to dine. Food was nice and can’t complain much. Service was excellent as was the atmosphere. Food could be ever so slightly better. It’s tastes fine but needs better plating/execution at the price point. The form of the fish (cut/plating) garnish etc just needs some more creativity. Nothing wrong with the ingredients but plating is similar to what you would get at a very average restaurant. 4/5 for food just for lack of creativity at price point

El Seafood bar@ Kirwan's es un restaurante ubicado en Kirwan's Lane, en el casco antiguo de Galway, en la zona conocida como el Barrio Latino. Vinimos aquí a cenar ostras y sopa de pescado para compartir como entrantes, mejillones con tocino ahumado y crema como plato principal y una crema de pistacho brulee como postre. Todo estaba delicioso. Realmente un excelente restaurante! Además, bebí una cerveza Pale Ale de Galway Hooker Brewery. (Véase también Kirwan's Lane y Galway Latin Quarter)

J'ai été un peu déçue par ce restaurant. Nous avons été placés dans la salle du rez de chaussée où il faisait assez froid. J'ai pris une assiette de dégustation (fruits de mer et poissons fumés) que j'ai trouvée assez chère pour le prix. Mon convive a mangé un excellent poisson mais il fallait prendre des pommes de terre à part. Au final l'addition était élevée. L'emplacement est très bien par contre.

03/01/2025: After a horrible experience with Deliveroo, where the driver drove off with my lovely handsome burgers for himself, the manager at Handsome Burger was nothing but kind and generous to me when I went into them to investigate it. Anytime I go into Handsome Burger Galway (which is a lot) the staff are friendly and the food is always delicious. It is my favourite restaurant in Galway and all staff especially Ruth and Niamh are a credit to the team. Thank you for the lovely service and I will continue to support in 2025.

03/01/2025: I have been visiting Galway for a few years now and I’d been meaning to go to this place for sometime. Never got the chance till recently. My lord, I am kicking myself for missing out till now! Marvelous food, excellent friendly servers and a cool, calming atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. Place is small and can get filled up quick. So ideal to arrive early on any day of the week to ensure decent seating. Food was served fresh and well prepared. I got the deluxe meal Fried chicken served with poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, crispy potatoes and the most glorious pancakes filled with jalapeños. The dish was perfectly well made. Good presentation too Hope to try one more round before I depart. Thanks very much to the staff and cooks here. They deserve all the praise. Prices do reflect the product. Working in the Industry, I get that things unfortunately have increased in price. Here I don’t feel it’s excessive. They serve good quality food and the price is more than fair. Thanks again!
02/01/2025: Visited here for the first time the other day and had the buttermilk chicken bene and it was delicious. Really nice flavours and well balanced. Also had a mocha which was also very nice. The staff were very friendly, and service was good. I look forward to returning.
