Just back from a beautiful weekend in the Strand! Amazing location, amazing room, amazing staff. We have already booked to come back in July! Thank you so much 😀

We stayed down at beautiful Strand Inn for a yoga retreat and was the perfect location to get away. From sea swims, sauna, cliff walk amongst the coast it was so tranquil. Along with the staff and amazing food it was a trip wort remembering.

Spent the weekend at a yoga retreat hosted by The Strand Inn , a gorgeous boutique hotel right on the seafront in Dunmore East. Everything exceeded expectations. The hotel itself has a lovely relaxed and welcoming vibe with beautiful artwork throughout..Rooms are spacious and lovely, food is fantastic. I think it would be a great spot for a romantic weekend away ,a weekend away with the girls or a family holiday. I cannot wait to return.

Earlier this year in March, my wife and I got married at The Strand Inn, and every aspect of the wedding — and our stay — went far beyond our expectations. Clif was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. From day one, he was completely open to our vision and somehow managed to bring it to life even better than we imagined. From the day’s timeline to the menu selection, we felt completely at ease the entire time — no small feat considering we were planning it from across the pond. We traveled from the US with our closest family and friends, and every single one of them still talks about how incredible the day was at The Strand Inn. And yes, that’s right — the staff took on a bus full of 30 hungry, thirsty, and slightly demanding Americans without even blinking. That alone deserves a medal. Beyond the outstanding service all around, we have to give a special mention to Catherine, who took it upon herself to show off her rally-driver skills by shuttling my handicapped grandfather to the park when he couldn’t make it up the hill for our ceremony. I can’t promise you’ll be lucky enough to score a ride on Catherine’s Express Service, but I can promise the team will make sure you have absolutely nothing to worry about on your wedding day. The food was absolutely outstanding — and our guests wholeheartedly agreed. We consider ourselves foodies, so this was a big one for us. My father-in-law, a self-proclaimed seafood expert, still talks about the mussels to this day (and he does not hand out praise lightly). Once everyone was well fed, we didn’t have to go far to get the craic well and truly started, thanks to live music in the pub. I’ll spare you the photographic evidence from later in the night, but rest assured Ronan made sure we had plenty of liquid courage to sing, dance, and fully embrace the moment. He also successfully and safely herded the Americans back onto the bus at the end of the night — which, in hindsight, may have been the most important job of all. Before I get too depressed about not being in Ireland right now, I’ll wrap this up by saying a massive thank you to Clif, Catherine, Mairead, Ronan, and the entire team at The Strand Inn for making our wedding day even more special than we could have hoped for. We can’t wait to return and spend an even longer stay in Dunmore East.
