Earlier this year in March, my wife and I got married at The Strand Inn, and every aspect of the wedding — and our stay — went far beyond our expectations. Clif was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout the planning process. From day one, he was completely open to our vision and somehow managed to bring it to life even better than we imagined. From the day’s timeline to the menu selection, we felt completely at ease the entire time — no small feat considering we were planning it from across the pond. We traveled from the US with our closest family and friends, and every single one of them still talks about how incredible the day was at The Strand Inn. And yes, that’s right — the staff took on a bus full of 30 hungry, thirsty, and slightly demanding Americans without even blinking. That alone deserves a medal. Beyond the outstanding service all around, we have to give a special mention to Catherine, who took it upon herself to show off her rally-driver skills by shuttling my handicapped grandfather to the park when he couldn’t make it up the hill for our ceremony. I can’t promise you’ll be lucky enough to score a ride on Catherine’s Express Service, but I can promise the team will make sure you have absolutely nothing to worry about on your wedding day. The food was absolutely outstanding — and our guests wholeheartedly agreed. We consider ourselves foodies, so this was a big one for us. My father-in-law, a self-proclaimed seafood expert, still talks about the mussels to this day (and he does not hand out praise lightly). Once everyone was well fed, we didn’t have to go far to get the craic well and truly started, thanks to live music in the pub. I’ll spare you the photographic evidence from later in the night, but rest assured Ronan made sure we had plenty of liquid courage to sing, dance, and fully embrace the moment. He also successfully and safely herded the Americans back onto the bus at the end of the night — which, in hindsight, may have been the most important job of all. Before I get too depressed about not being in Ireland right now, I’ll wrap this up by saying a massive thank you to Clif, Catherine, Mairead, Ronan, and the entire team at The Strand Inn for making our wedding day even more special than we could have hoped for. We can’t wait to return and spend an even longer stay in Dunmore East. What an unbelievable experience. From arrival, we were escorted to our room. Magnificent views of the sea. Both dinner and breakfast were superb. We will definitely be back.

My partner and I spent three days and two nights here. We were delighted to find this hotel, its view, the warm welcome, the smiles, and the friendliness at every moment. What's more, we were lucky enough to have almost exclusively beautiful weather. The meals were generous and delicious. Thank you again for allowing us to have such a wonderful time with you!

Having cycled the Waterford Greenway from Dungarvan, we had the pleasure of staying at the Strand Inn. Fab location, spotless rooms, wonderful staff, great food, lovely atmosphere. Had early start next morning and Paul went out of his way to arrange taxi to Waterford. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Definitely worth to stay in and get some nice expectations from the lovely beach straightly located in 1 minute from the hotel. 😀 What was the most amazing experience in there my breakfast! Food was delicious and fresh. Thank you for your service! Definitely will come back!

Food is excellent a bit overpriced for what it is. services completely in the toilet staff to busy talking to each other rather than doing their job nobody no supervising. Finnish our mains never ask if like desserts left standing at the bar twice. When we got there ask Do we take a table number got holds sit anywhere. Got no Hospitality in the hospitality sector today. Good job 👏 12.5% service charge for groups over 6 (greedy)
