The Walter Raleigh Hotel in Youghal is a 1920s hotel, renovated. Located on the beach front. The most notable thing is its cuisine. They do a good à la carte breakfast. And we had a very good dinner. Recommended.

The room was by the street and very noisy due to the traffic. The window would not close well and we asked the management to do something about it. I'm afraid to say that nothing seemed to have happened. Furthermore, wifi didn't reach our room. Advice : avoid room 213. Positive note : Sunrise was nice.

A Special thank you to jason and his amazing staff for all there amazing help and support in regards today Event which was my cousin jenna 's baby Naming the Walter Raleigh and their amazing staff could not have done enough. For my cousin and her partner. Out of the two hotels in youghal I would highly recommend the Walter Raleigh Thanks again on behalf of myself and my emidate family

31/10/2025: A superb townhouse and restaurant, with excellent service from all staff members and beautiful food. Even though I am coeliac and lactose intolerant, there was no problem meeting my needs (a rare event!) The whole establishment is spotless and inviting and the restaurant was buzzing with chat and laughter. David and Gaye (and Anne) are to be commended on their attention to detail in every way. We shall return. Highly recommended !!

16/11/2025: Just came home from the Red Store after having the best roast beef dinner i have had in a long while. Beef was excrllent and loads of it, mash, roastt potatoes, carrots, green beans and gravy, cant fault anything. Great red wine, such a relaxing atmosphere, staff so friendly, and prices are so very reasonable. Had table booked from previous day which was a plus as it was really busy.
