In town for the IAAT Conference. Called in looking for a quick bite before heading to Matt Molloy鈥檚, for a meet-up, but stayed far longer than we intended! The food was delicious - I had crusted cod with mash (delicious!) and bearnaise sauce, and husband had an excellent, succulent burger and chips. Nice generous portions, came quickly, and great friendly service. Great pint too!

A beautiful, clean, tidy bar/restaurant. Glad to see the local Mescan beer on tap and in bottle. I really don't know why anybody drinks the industrial beers after tasting this. Unfortunately the only Stonewell cider is the non alcoholic.
The Food is amazing. Really generous portions, comes out freshly cooked and very tasty.
The staff are super friendly and professional. I'd eat here any evening if I could.

We had lunch here last Sunday. Steak sandwich & Pesto pasta. Very generous portions and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend!

Great food, great service and great atmosphere! We really enjoyed our lunch experience, there was a small issue with the bill and after we highlighted it to the owner 'he was fantastic', he went off and found out how the issue came about. It was delt with it in the most professional manner, which came as a relief. We were refunded the difference and he really appreciated that we had brought this to his attention, well done to him! Best service I have had in quite awhile and food

Great food and fun vibe. Staff was really nice and gave us suggestions on things to do in Westport and how to catch a bus to Galway. We had dinner, drinks, and dessert - all were outstanding. Would definitely return next time we鈥檙e in town.

I鈥檝e been to The West many times and this is because the food is consistently good and the service excellent. The menu is varied and no matter what you get, you will love it. I particularly like the deep fried Brie for my starter. There are always specials as well. The owner is present and serving a lot which I think adds some extra to your visit.
