The food and Avinash service was really good. Me and my family had a great time after our hiking experience in Glendalough Park.

Had breakfast there today. We had just walked in with no prior reservation. It got busy quite quickly, it being a Sunday I guess. They have a lot of outdoor seating area but it being the usual Feb/early March cold morning - preferred the indoor seating. It's a bit dark but nicely done place. The people serving were friendly and served the coffee with the toast from the breakfast quite promptly which I thought was a good idea given that the rest of breakfast (mini Heather and a poach with guacomale)took a bit longer. The coffee was nice and so was the breakfast. Special mention the hash brown. Definitely a nice place deep into Wicklow, would love to go back and have breakfast on a brighter warmer day.

After a long day of hiking and amazing views, this restaurant was a real treat. The service is excellent and the decoration is like a traditional Irish pub, full of history. The food was incredible, especially the venison stew with chocolate and wine sauce... it was exceptional! ​I loved the place so much that I came back the next morning for breakfast in the sun. Everything was perfect again. I recommend this place 100%!

It's a nice place, not overly crowded because you need a reservation. The food is delicious and the prices are reasonable. What we call "wet cake" here, they call pudding, although apparently they call many things pudding here.

The menu felt uninspiring and lacked creativity and passion. The brie starter contained very little brie and was served cold alongside an unappetising salad. I was hoping to taste some of the lamb and cheese that Wicklow is known for, but I was disappointed. The leg of lamb was lukewarm, chewy and largely flavourless. The quality of the meat seemed fairly middle-of-the-road. I had asked for the gravy to be served on the side but this wasn’t accommodated. I ordered roast potatoes but instead received bland baby potatoes that were clearly fried rather than roasted. The waiter kindly explained that the chef steams the potatoes and then finishes them in the fryer, which unfortunately showed in both the texture and taste. Hoping to end on a better note I ordered dessert, but again it was disappointing and felt mass-produced rather than homemade. Overall, it would be a reasonable stop if you were very hungry, but I personally don’t understand the hype. It felt more like standard hotel-style food without the hotel setting. On a positive note, the staff were cordial, friendly, and the service was fast and professional. Whoever is managing the front of house is doing an excellent job.

I have been coming here for years and it is one of my favourite restaurants. The decor inside is beautiful, with lovely items from Ireland of days past, with lights all over the building that add to the atmosphere. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and I need to give a special shout out to Davina who has been there I think as long as I've been going there and she is excellent. Always has a smile on her face, helps in any way she can if I have special requests with my meals and her service is always excellent. She is an asset to the restaurant. And finally the food is always very good and I highly recommend the Irish Breakfast before you go out for a hike afterwards, delicious, filling and a great start to the day. The best restaurant in Wicklow and one of the best in Ireland.

Had both the lunch and dinner here and the food was fabulous, such variety of vegitarian food as well other food . The staff were accommodating and friendly,well worth a visit , will be back ☺️
