Great food, in a friendly spot - well done team at Tower & Castle

Excellent value for money restaurant. Mid range food really well presented at great prices. Always delivers on flavour and service. Cool playlist and dog friendly to boot. Highly recommend for those on the move, visitors or meeting up for a cuppa and scones.

Tower and Castle Kilkenny City Located in the heart of Kilkenny City, and although on street parking is available around the area, it could be limited in busier times It's got a real cozy decor, with a very traditional / period vibe. The seating is comfortable and sturdy, and the tables a good size. I also like the fact that the kitchen is visible from the dining area. where you can see the kitchen staff in action. The service here is top notch. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and will have you seated with a menu in front of you in no time. While waiting to order a second coffee, one of the staff members was so busy walking around being busy, she failed to notice us trying to summon her, so we walked to the counter to order, but this is only one point in the midst of a lot of good ones. The food here is probably some of the best you will get anywhere. fantastic quality, cooked to perfection, and presented perfectly. What more can one say There is a great selection of items to choose from for breakfast/lunch. or lighter bites such as grab and go coffees /cakes /pastries etc Definitely great value for money for the quality and quantity you receive Worth noting that Tower and Castle opens early morning and closes after lunch so doesnt cater for evening meals

Popped in for a nice breakfast before exploring Kilkenny. The avocado toast was incredible, very tasty and so fresh. Also the service and smiles from the staff were a good bonus. Thanks guys.

We stopped here for lunch simply because it was the first restaurant we saw after checking into our hotel and were so pleasantly surprised by our meal. The blaa and bacon and Gouda sandwich were delicious. If we’re ever back in Kilkenny we may need to come again!

Amazing food & coffee, staff are friendly and very helpful! Needed a place that offered vegan food options and found Tower & Castle on the Happy Cow app, so glad we went there, we are already planning to go back tomorrow morning as it was delicious! They offer take out and eat in too!

So good we came back a second time. We had different breakfasts but each was plentiful and tasty. Full Irish is very full😊

Nice little cafe, menu is fixed and not a big menu which is good as some place's can have too much choice. Mostly toasties and small lunch options here. I like the all day breakfast blaa with salad and chips. Quality of food is good, atmosphere is good and staff are friendly. Also can get treats for dessert if you like. Location is good too. It is a spot I regularly visit when in kilkenny and I will return.

Very good quality breakfast 👌. The staff were lovely. The chef 👨‍🍳 even checked with us. Highly recommend it.
