Ok. I was skeptical and though this was going to be super corney. It was not. The food was good, the entertainment was amazing and the overall experience was so worth it.

Lovely place to visit. Castle and village are great for learning about Irish history. Bunratty village has many places to eat to suit most budgets, a great little garden centre and a large store for buying gifts and household items. Parking was easy as there are a couple of carparks.

Great castle and mineral village. Nice café and shop. Wish it was more appearanr that the there is free on-site parking on bunratty rd. But that was a Google problem, not the castle.

Excellent medieval-style banquet in a "medieval" hall, with waiters and waitresses in period costumes. Very friendly atmosphere and delicious food.

A visit to Bunratty Castle is like stepping back in time to medieval Ireland. This beautifully restored 15th-century fortress is one of the most authentic and well-preserved castles in the country. From the moment you enter, the atmosphere is rich with history, offering a glimpse into the lives of nobles and warriors from centuries ago.
The interiors are impressively furnished with period pieces, tapestries, and artifacts that truly bring the past to life. Climbing the narrow stone staircases and exploring the grand halls gives a real sense of what castle life must have been like. The views from the top are stunning, overlooking the surrounding countryside and the nearby River Shannon.
What makes the experience even more special is the adjacent Bunratty Folk Park, where visitors can wander through a recreated 19th-century Irish village, complete with traditional cottages, shops, and costumed characters. It adds a lively and interactive dimension to the historical experience.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast or just looking for a memorable day out, Bunratty Castle offers a perfect blend of education, culture, and scenic beauty. It’s a must-visit destination when exploring the west of Ireland.
