Twomey's Ivy Bar in Castletownbere

09/07/2025: Absolutely lovely gem of a spot. Great service, everyone was so kind and even helped call me a taxi after I missed my bus. The restaurant itself was very pretty and quaint and had very nice and well kept restrooms. And of course, the food was incredible. The fish was so so fresh and the side salad was a proper salad, not just a few pieces of lettuce and carrot like at most places where you get a side salad with fish and chips. It had apple, watermelon, beets, and great dressing. And the chips were great and both the breaded and steamed fish was delicious. The dessert was also amazing. Such moist cakes and the gluten free option was so good as well. 10/10. Would absolutely come here again and hope that other travelers stumble upon it!!

04/07/2025: I love this restaurant! The Chowder is better than the award winning Chowder from another restaurant. Nice ladies. Hard working. Crab sandwich delicious. Fish and chips delicious. Been there 3 times in 3 weeks. Fantastic!
