Venezia in Ballinasloe

I heard there was an Italian restaurant in Ballinasloe a while back, and hoped it would still be there for my flying visit in March - and it was. My partner and I went for early dinner and we were seated immediately. There were a couple of others in and while we were there, the place began to fill up. Both my partner and I shared a garlic pizza bread to start and I had the Diavolo Linguine pasta as a main. WOW….what dish, so, so tasty, proper chunks of chicken and very filling. There was a good choice of wines and desserts and the bill was fairly reasonable for what had.. We found the staff friendly and tentative without overpowering. I can see this place being really busy and more so on the weekends and I hope the restaurant is still there when I visit again in a few months time. I would certainly recommend Venezia Restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food. Don’t be put off by the negative comments about being too busy for a pickup / takeaway - says a lot about a restaurant and I would rather eat from a busy spot than one that wasn’t.

Food was nice, could accommodate to some diet restrictions. One of our party had strict diet requirements (due to severe allergies) and had rung ahead over 4 weeks ahead of our visit but they were unable to fill the request (understandable that with too much notice they may have gotten confused) putting a small negative feeling to an over all pleasurable visit. Waiting staff were extremely nice and apologetic for the issues we faced. Overall I would say a good place to get dinner if in the area 😀

The pizza we had in this little gem of a restaurant is the best he have ever eaten in our lives! and have tried alot of pizza. Lots of options on the menu and not overpriced at all for what you get.The two girls working were very friendly and helpful but run off there feet trying to do everything on there own. More staff required.
