Whitehorses in Ardmore

Lovely atmosphere and staff so nice but unfortunately terrible selection for vegetarians. Paid €39 for an onion and goats cheese tart which was the only option and unfortunately I don’t like goat cheese so had it without so it was literally just onions on pastry. Would love to see an improvement on veggie options and perhaps a vegan option.

This place was wonderful from the minute we walked through the door. We had lunch in the garden and it was very tasty and well presented. Staff were fantastic. Price was just right.

Was here in june on a Saturday evening for a family event. The place was fully booked. One person waiting tables stated my sister didn't order what she ordered,turns out the waitress had my mothers order and tried to persuade my sister that was her order . My childs order was asked to be brought out first ahead of our food to keep her quiet all our food came no sign of her food we had to request more potaotoe as there was very little came for all the adults there . The same thing happened with childs dessert it was forgotten Honestly I was disappointed overall for what your paying i expected better.

We dined 'al fresco' in the neat little garden area alongside the main restaurant. Lovely food and fast, efficient, friendly service.

My daughter and I visited Whitehorses on a sunny June evening.What a treat,we were greeted by a lovely lady and shown to our table.The restaurant has a beautiful relaxed atmosphere ,candles lighting and pretty flowers on the tables set the tone for a faultless evening.All the staff were friendly and efficient . We decided to share a blue cheese and pear salad, we then opted for Fillet steak with delicious pepper sauce.The sides were new potatoes and vegetables ,all of which were delicious.The wine list is impressive and cocktails are also available.I opted for the Charlotte Rousse for dessert.Thanks to all for a perfect meal. A summer evening well spent, a stroll around Ardmore finished off our wonderful evening.

Amazing food & staff really good

We were staying at a hotel nearby but wanted to try somewhere different. I'd read good reviews about this restaurant so, 2 weeks in advance, I booked a table. Reservations are strongly advised as this place gets extremely busy. We arrived a little early, were seated promptly and, before long, we had our orders arriving. Food was wholesome and tasty, with good portion size. Service was prompt and professional. Overall a lovely experience. I'd definitely go back.

We are there over the June BH weekend and all started very well. We were moved from a tiny table which we knew we were getting to a much larger one when that party didn't arrive, which was great. Food was lovely albeit extremely hot. The service was not great. There was one very lovely lady who seemed to be doing the work of 10 - bringing and clearing plates, cleaning tables, taking orders. Trojan and very friendly and accommodating. The problem was that it seemed like all the rest of the staff were standing chatting than doing much helpful. When we asked for the bill - from the great lady - we were waiting 20 minutes and had to ask twice more for it. When I could see it was finally prepared and ready, one of the other staff was walking towards me and turned around and started chatting some more to one of the others before finally ambling my way....
