04/01/2026: probably my favorite spot for thai food in dublin. super generous portions, the tomyum is so yummy and their curries never miss. i do wish that they would stop putting bamboo shoots into the curries though cuz that always throws me off.

01/03/2026: I’ve been coming to Asahi for years. It’s always consistently tasty and fresh, has a very nice selection of authentic food, and the service is always excellent! Highly recommended for an easy place to meet with a couple of friends, to visit on your own, or even with a larger group of 7-8 people.

20/02/2026: Hands down the best Asian food I’ve had in a long time. This place is a hidden gem! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is welcoming, and the food is top-notch. I highly recommend the Pad Thai—it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Don’t let the exterior fool you; the food inside is incredible. 5 stars!

18/02/2026: Food was only ok but we ordered takeaway for 7pm, a few hours in advance, we arrived to collect it and were waiting half an hour. People kept arriving after us who had clearly ordered for later times and getting their food. I asked a number of times and was told they were busy. When we finally got our food, the order was wrong so we had to wait another 15 mins to get it corrected, by which time the other food was nearly cold. And then the food wasn't even that good, it was only ok. Update: The owner rang the next day to apologise and give me a €30 voucher.

13/02/2026: Visited Daata's new location (formerly Box Burger). Wow what a new layout and atmosphere! Unfortunately our table wasn't ready so we did have to wait 15-20 mins, however the staff were always communicating and keeping us updated. The atmosphere, music and decor was very inviting. We shared 3 starters between 6 of us, 6 mains, 4 rice and 4 naans. The onion bhajis were deliciously crispy. The Tikka Masala and Prawn Coconut Curry were the standout dishes. All washed down with Rosé and Red wine. We will be back to explore more of the menu.

02/03/2026: The only good thing they have is the coffee and the soups, but they have to massively improve the banh mi knockoff, they put little to no pate, probably no vietnamese mayo at all, not enough meat. Banh Mi should burst in fillings, theirs is more bread than fillings. But I get it, no competition, mean no point to deliver better food.

31/01/2026: Ordered the hoisin duck as a lazy weekend takeout night, I was not expecting to receive one of the nicest meals I’ve had in months. So delicious with very generous portions.

27/12/2025: We went to Kato for lunch, very decent place, fast service, good food. Noodles were extremly flavourful thanks to good use of spices which made food very delicious. My friend chose different dish but we both had duck and we both agreed that duck was cheewy and bit dry. Other than that everything was great.

05/02/2026: Honestly one of the best Asian restaurants we’ve been to. Great atmosphere on a weekday to start with, followed by a great variety of dishes with many vegan options. We were so surprised when our food came: the portions are massive and so tasty. Price was so cheap we couldn’t believe it. The waiter was really lovely, we didn’t get his name but trully so friendly and genuine. We were sad the second day we were in Sligo it was closed, I actually wanted to take some of their food to Dublin haha. Overall, great experience, highly recommend.
