18/07/2025: We ate here a few times whilst we were on holiday. Food was great with good portions. Our son always ate more here compared to other restaurants. The staff were all friendly too.

27/05/2025: We had my mams birthday dinner here recently, it was so nice they brought her dessert out with a candle! The servers were so friendly, the food portions were huge. It was a very relaxed setting. Really recommend.

02/06/2025: The food here is very close to authentic Chinese cuisine. I ordered the Szechuan beef and asked the chef to make it extra spicy—it was perfectly done! The beef was tender and full of flavor. I highly recommend this place to any fellow Chinese travelers passing through town—you’ll leave with a full and satisfied stomach! Plus, the boss lady and the waiters are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. We ordered Winston soup is quite good too, forgot to take picture though 😁

30/06/2025: We did a quick search for a Thai Restaurant in Tralee and this one popped up as no. 1 in town. Unfortunately I realized too late that the reviews were outdated by 5 years. Food quality was lousy. Overcooked rice, Thai Curry was some strange chinese interpretation full of glutamate. Other dishes were also of poor quality.

26/06/2025: *Avoid this place* - especially with food related allergies I for one am not a person to review, or critic food, but this place deserves taking the time to write this. Myself and my partner ordered a takeaway, she arrived before the allocated collection time. From the second we received the bag of food it was a bad experience. We opened the bag and were severely disappointed. The food was overpriced, small portions and was at best, slightly warm. I got a sweet and sour chicken, the sauce and vegetables were cold and the chicken was barely above room temperature. The chicken was tough and almost inedible. The second dish was chicken balls (10 piece portion) and a curry sauce. The chicken balls were small and oily to bite into. The curry sauce tasted identical to Mc Donnell curry sauce mix. The third dish was the “ying& yang”, my partner said that this was only average, and again similar to the sweet and sour, the vegetables and sauce were cold the chicken / duck were barely above room temperature and the food was just overall bland. If you do decide to order from here, there’s no point paying the extra money for egg fried rice, within my portion of “egg” fried rice, was one minuscule piece of egg, so small you could hardly notice it! And the rice wasn’t even fried, just boiled. If things weren’t disappointing already, on my order I specified about a peanut allergy. Luckily this is not severe. There was some cross-contamination between one of the dishes. I phone up the restaurant to one of the works who was very nice and took my details and told me to expect a phone call back. After a very short few minutes my phone ran to another lady who informed me that “they tried their best” and that “these things happen”. Apparently fresh oil was used for our meal, but judging by the look and taste of the food this definitely was not the case. I will never again go here and would highly recommend anyone with allergies to stay clear of this place. Absolute shambles.

24/07/2025: We we're limited to takeaway in the evening's as we had a todler on holiday with us that was asleep by 7, we tried 3 or 4 "tourist trap" places in the town before finding the Chinese...... the Chinese was by far and away the best of the lot in every way, spotless clean, reasonably priced, large portions and tasty, highly recommended

04/07/2025: They double charge young lads for sitting in. €45 for duck pancakes,€22 for a spice bag and two sauces… pure scam, stay clear.

02/07/2025: Paid 5.50 for home made onion rings greasy burned hard as a rock onions looked like they had them for months very disappointed won't be ordering from royal china again
