08/01/2026: Our team visit was wonderful, and a big reason for that was the manager; his name is Key. And they were all welcoming, attentive, and clearly passionate about ensuring every guest felt valued. Most importantly, the foods were absolutely delicious and tasty. It’s rare to see management so present and engaged — it made a lasting impression. Once again, thank you so much to the manager, Key and his team for their warm and friendly welcoming hospitality.

03/12/2025: First time ordering from Sunshine Palace and I will definitely be ordering again. The staff are a delight to deal with. I have been eating Chinese food since 1979. I ordered two different dishes and a side. Everything was perfect. Quality and quantity. Absolutely delicious!10/10

22/10/2025: I ordered jasmine tea, Chinese dumplings, steamed, the wonton soup, and the duck with Szechuan sauce and a side of noodles.
The service was great! I think they do a lot of take-away orders, so they were busy but I arrived around 5pm and the dining room was empty. I was sat near a window and the server brought over a gas space heater since I was rain-drenched! Shortly after ordering I was brought the tea, a small pitcher of water with lemon, and a basket of large shrimp crackers, possibly house-made!
The dumpling skin was thin and the ingredients tasted fresh the wonton soup was in a approximately 12 oz cup and was full of thinly sliced carrot, cabbage, and wontons. The duck was crispy and the sauce was mildly spicy (for me) and in generous portion. The noodles were thin and well-seasoned with veggies, and the whole side dish had wok hei!
I stayed for a while to digest and wait out some of the rain and the staff was patient and did not bother me. By the time I left there were about 4 or 5 more tables sat.
The whole place was very clean, including the table ware. I was told about this place by my Chinese Air BnB host, and it did not disappoint! Total bill was around €39.

29/10/2025: The food here in Royal China is the best I have tasted in Munster. High quality ingredients and best tasting sauces are served by very lovely and attentive staff. This restaurant is a hidden gem well worth a visit.

12/01/2026: I came here with a group of friends for a takeaway. The woman at the till was nothing but rude. I asked if I could pay card but she told me cash only. My friend paid for her food afterwards but with card, after she told me they don’t accept card. I confronted her on this lie, yet she still wouldn’t accept my card and return my cash. This scam is clearly to avoid paying tax, which I will be contacting the guards about. After receiving the takeaway, the food was abysmal. The chips were still half frozen and the sauce were certainly not up to Chinese standard. We will certainly not be returning.
08/09/2025: Fantastic takeaway! We got a spice box and beef chow mein, both were great. Quick, delicious, and really convenient. Highly recommend!

23/11/2025: Used to always come in here for years but the last year it’s declined every time we ring they don’t answer then you go into them to order and you see them not answering the phone on purpose and they do that even when they arnt that busy. Tonight we were told 20 mins for a main dish and a spice bag , fair. But we then waited in the reception for 45 mins only to get fed up ask the receptionist and to no suprise checks the kitchen and all this time the bag was just waiting. Food is now lukewarm. Won’t bother coming back now not worth the wait
23/11/2025: Went in to order food because they weren’t answering there phone was told 20 minutes for a spice bag and a main dish with rice, ended up taking just over 45 minutes to get my food after I asked the young lad behind the counter how long more would it before it magically appears ready so god only knows how long it was sitting inside ready.
Got home to eat it then and the “spice bag” had no seasoning what so ever not even a shake of salt and was pure dry and the curry sauce was tasteless and the main dish was no better after going there for years I won’t be going back I always gave them the benefit of the doubt for waiting for food because it used to be good but no more may aswell been eating paper
!!! Had to throw away the main dish asked for no veg in it as the person eating it is allergic to onions and found onions in it while playing it up !!!!

10/09/2024: Standardized Asian fast food of acceptable quality. The service was friendly. The kitchen is open and visible, and they cook at a rapid pace for both takeaway and dine-in orders. The restaurant's atmosphere is very basic and functional. The restrooms were clean, but not really suitable or adequate for a restaurant. The food arrived quickly and was hot. Compared to a good Chinese restaurant, the taste was rather average. However, the prices were fair, and there was a free soft-serve ice cream for dessert.
12/07/2024: It was closed today also, walk to the point and came back.
Google map day before yesterday said it was closed, but today it says open till 10 pm

11/08/2025: We eat here regularly as a family (including a 3-year-old) and we're always very well received! The food is generally good, with some dishes particularly to my liking (the fried chicken with spicy honey sauce is really great). Perfect for eating in, although many people get takeout.

05/10/2024: We have been using this fantastic take away for about 10 years. The food is delicious. The man that runs it is class. He is so lovely to us always both on the phone and in person. Love this place. Would give it 10 stars if possible. Love it, love it, love it.
