22/08/2026: Great traditional large bar with friendly atmosphere and a great pint of Guinness! Great for sports with large screens and a separate pool / sports room. Lovely fire when winter sets in to!

01/07/2026: We were staying at the local marina in our motorhome and treated ourselves to breakfast here. The builders breakfast was excellent and included orange juice and tea! Friendly table service and we were not hurried. Highly recommended.

Visited Boman Line and had an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and what impressed me the most was both the excellent quality and the generous quantity. Everything we ordered was top-notch and tasted perfect. The Potter's Hand Cafe

07/04/2026: Went there for brunch because 'beag' was closed. I was sorry I bothered. There was a choice of soups on the blackboard, so I ordered 2 BLT wraps and 2 butternut & tomato soups. Ten minutes later the server came to the table to inform us the soups was sold out, all soups were sold out, I think there was a choice of soups. This was at 12:30 hrs. Who runs out of soup before lunch. Best guess: forgot to make soup. The BLT wraps didn't contain bacon but ham from a packet, tasteless tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise. The coffee tasted like it was made that morning and reheated. Oh! take down the Christmas tree it's April.
15/01/2026: Nice coffee. The staff were kind and it was a cozy interior. Didn’t try and food but it looked good. Will note they closed at 3pm rather than 4pm as listed on google.

A1 Asian Food Take Away

27/09/2026: Don't be put off by the exterior. The food is very good and reasonably priced.
30/08/2026: We have been getting takeaways from the A1 for a number of years but tonights meal was very disappointing, the main meat dish was very dry and the starters were equally dry and over cooked. We won't consider going back to the A1 unless we hear that things have improved.

24/09/2026: Anyone wanting to experience Ireland will feel right at home in this atmosphere. What some might consider "a bit dated," we see as the quintessential Irish charm.
If you're looking for five-star dining, this is obviously not the place. However, they do offer excellent local cuisine. The food is delicious, freshly prepared, and the staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. We'll definitely be back. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team!

Cheap, fast service, good food for the price. Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons:
It gets a bit busy on Saturday mornings, and there's limited table space if you're eating in.
We got breakfast for five adults and two toddlers for about €60, including three full Irish breakfasts, one half breakfast and a scrambled egg for the little one.
19/05/2026: Superb food and service. We were travelling towards Kilkee and rang ahead for our choice which was ready for collection when we passed through Kilrush. If you like this style of traditional chip shop food then don't pass Coffeys in Kilrush.
