12/03/2025: We have been in Ireland from Canada for a half week now and between visiting the Cliffs of Moher and other things in the Burrens, we stopped here to eat today (March 12, 2025). My husband had the soup of the day and fish and chips, and I had the seafood chowder and a wagyu burger.
This was hands down the best meal we have had in Ireland so far. The chowder was so fresh, it melted in my mouth, and the burger was exactly what I needed after several days of hiking around the country. My husband loved his meal too.
The hospitality was amazing, and exactly what we have come to expect in this beautiful country.
I want to shout from the rooftops, do not just wait until you are in the neighbourhood. Go visit this place now for amazing, fresh, locally sourced food!
01/03/2025: I had the sea food chowder and wings , without doubt the best sea chowder I have ever ever eaten ,, I was absolutely lost for words , the staff were really friendly and helpful. I honestly can't wait to eat there again ,,, it truly is not to be missed . Thank you all for a wonderful meal and experience.

The Royal Spa

15/03/2025: We had a wonderful stay! John and Ann were fabulous hosts. The room were very comfortable and the whole place was immaculate. Ann's fresh baking was fantastic. The parking was ideal and location was great. Looking forward to staying there again in Sept 2025!

19/10/2024: Loved the Wild Honey Inn, pity we didn't get to experience the restaurant, but the breakfast was amazing! The hotel itself is lovely and the owners were so welcoming. Would highly recommend.
16/10/2024: Extremely charming inn with an amazing breakfast and lovely garden (though we stayed a little off season for it). Well located to explore the Burren.

03/05/2025: It’s very cute hotel in Lisdoonvarna, which is very rundown town near the Cliffs of Moher. Centrally located in the town, the hotel is newly renovated and clean. The breakfast was ok, offering some cooked food and other cold continental bits and pieces.
We stayed 2 nights only for the walks along the coast and cliffs With Cliffs of Moher walk half closed, the hotel wasn’t helpful about the walks or nearby area. Probably better to go other towns with tourist information center, although we found they are not helpful either.

30/03/2025: Traveling through Clare and stopped off for some food. Bar had. As if inviting sign out the front so looked promising.
Menu was grand and reasonable. Soup was average, followed by main course with watery mash and disappointing meat.
Service was cold & pointed and we all said no Irish welcome here. Rest rooms were wet and in need of a good clean.
We all said. We’d not stoop here again or the area for food.
28/02/2025: Stopped by this local Pub on way to Doolin area and Cliffs of Moher. The beef with Guinness stew was like my mom's awesome pot roast made with so much love. The mashed potatoes were just enough for the side dish. The barkeep was available for local cuisine questions. Would definitely stop again:)

The Burren fast food takeaway

12/04/2025: Arguably the worst chipper I've been to in my life. Cheap ingredients, unhygienic conditions and rude staff.
No salt and vinegar? Is this a joke?
Just avoid the place please.
14/03/2025: We were a bit skeptical at first, but we tried this place and were very surprised! The chicken kebab was actually pretty awesome! The fries were not that awesome, but still good. We’re gonna eat here again for sure!✨

13/05/2025: Hands down a beautiful meal. I was there with my family, in total about 22 people. We were well looked after from the moment we arrived, great service to great food and great value.
To be honest I was expecting the bill to be considerably more than what it was. Lovely food, lovely wine 🍷 great sevice.
If you’re in Ennis and you’re hungry for real food check it out.
06/04/2025: Excellent service for a group of 20 .. clam and friendly service nothing an issue. Food was very generous and tasty I would highly recommend.

08/09/2024: Called into Nellie’s. The 4of us for a few drinks were made very welcome by the proprietor Nellie we had more than a few. Because the atmosphere. Of a traditional Irish pub is so relaxing. , we returned the next nite and an impromptu sing a long started. A great nite was had by all we will be back thanks Nellie
