31/03/2026: 2 night stay, staff can't do enough for you. All of them. Food is excellent. Room is spacious and very clean. Location is perfect. Good information book on what is around. They look after all ur needs. 100% recommend.

20/03/2026: Such a lovely spot for food.The hosts were very welcoming and even on a busy Mothers day, we were seated and looked after promptly.
Sunday carvery lunch was absolutely lovely, big plates and very reasonably priced.

31/08/2025: I love this coffee shop.The staff are always friendly and the cakes are beautiful.The cake portions are a really good size,great value for money.I think their system is very efficient,go in ,order and pay,then wait out at the window for your coffees,even if the weather is bad,the area where you wait is covered.

07/02/2026: Probably one of the worst experiences in a Chinese restaurant and any restaurant for that matter.
Food was edible but that is about as good as it gets.
Our experience consisted of unhygienic ethic and unmannerly service.
Firstly one waitress was mopping and drying the floor with a towel as we arrived, then then served us our food without cleaning their hands and left the dirty towel that was dragged along the floor on another chair in the restaurant as we were eating.
Then after that, as we were eating, we were sat next to a plug in Bluetooth speaker that was apparently setting the atmosphere but the only atmosphere it set was the smell of a cheap, broke owners who can't afford Spotify or YouTube premium because it kept playing adverts the whole time we were there. And they didn't even let a song finish, kept skipping songs halfway through.
And to top it all off, 2 waitresses were having a conversation as we were eating that the whole street could hear, and swearing with foul language during the conversation, no manners, ethetic or awareness of what service should be at all.
Most definitely will not be returning to this place.

04/03/2025: Very small portions for high prices. Shrinkflation siuation here. Not happy. They use small plates to lesson quantity. Unfair.
22/01/2025: Had lunch here today. Average lunch price is €17. The fish pie was basically a tiny piece of cod in a dish covered with breadcrumbs and was tasteless. My companion had the beef. The veg and potatoes are put on the plate very sparingly, portions very small. Lunch here is not worth the money.

29/06/2025: Stopped by Macroom on our way to Galway, and came across the Next Door Cafe on the main street. It is a great spot for a casual lunch. Food was fresh and well made, and the setting is comfortable and attractive.

22/12/2024: As others have mentioned, it doesn't look like much, but there's so much heart in this place. Wonderful owner, and lots of great events that are all about bringing people together. Some of the best nachos you can get.
