25/11/2024: During many past visits to Buncrana, I often passed by the Harbour Inn but never stayed until now. I'm pleased to say the experience exceeded my expectations. From the moment I checked in until the time I departed, the staff, including Mary at the reception and Sinead during check-out, were exceptional. An unexpected incident occurred when one of my sons accidentally locked himself in the bathroom. The swift response from the wonderful staff to resolve the situation was truly commendable. They promptly arranged for assistance, ensuring minimal distress. Dining at the hotel is a popular choice, and it can become quite crowded. Heeding the advice to make a reservation was beneficial, leading to a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. Overall, the Harbour Inn provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere, matched by attentive and friendly service. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. It’s not just a place to stay but a delightful part of the Buncrana experience.

04/12/2024: A warm friendly welcome is waiting for you and the setting and food are excellent. The staff are very attentive and friendly and I would highly recommend a visit. There is a great deal on at the moment from their gorgeous Christmas menu and I felt like eating all that was on there! I went for the salmon and champ and others in our party went for the turkey and ham. Lovely selection of drinks and the Guinness is a lovely pint. Well worth a visit and you will not be disappointed, go on treat yourself.

04/10/2024: Lovely setting. Food was good, but the service was poor. Not one of the waitresses as much as cracked a smile. One younger girl, actually looked pained to be there....

29/11/2024: Had the best vegan meal here, the place was full, always a good sign and the service was friendly and efficient. Recommend the Ultimate Vegan dish, so very tasty and flavoursome.

12/11/2024: I gone in for dinner with my elderly mum recently and we had a fairly long wait until a lady finally appeared to take our order. The dining area we sat in was overcrowded and offered very little privacy or peace to eat, with other customers pushing up against us at times. The food is best described as overpriced oily goo on a plate. Not impressed with the food, service or general dining experience here, so won’t be back

08/11/2024: One of the best places I have been to. I come all the ways from derry every Friday to have my usual panini there and the taste never fails me every time. The staff is soo lovely and welcoming. One of the best places highly recommended

18/10/2024: Good produce store clean neat and tidy. But their seems to be an atmosphere in the place. Staff not to friendly. Yet when I go into supervalu carndonagh it's the opposite from buncrana staff wise. Plus the fact finding semi skimmed milk not delivered In when I'm in store. Also when the fella that is off that does the cat food nobody orders cat food in. And one particular brand seems to be less in. As they keep sending wrong the wrong one. Sick and tired of ot all now. Something needs to be done about it quick. Before I keave and shop elsewhere

11/07/2024: Was weekday tourist barhopping Buncrana and decided to stop in for a pint. Ended up staying for three. Mark was bartending and was warm and welcoming also shared some history of the bar and the area. Had some great conversations and learned a lot. The place was spotless and the pints were cold. Highly recommend stopping by. Great location, great drinks, and great people.

10/12/2024: A great stay, with some of the friendliest staff, from the minute i walked in the door, reception, the bar staff, and those serving at the event later. Also met some of the staff the next morning too. They are an absolute credit to you. Very friendly and helpful, and not afraid of a bit of craic. They made it a very enjoyable stay.

30/11/2024: We had our wedding here and had the absolute best day!!! Sinead and her whole team were excellent through the entire process. We live in Boston, but my husband is from the area. We were limited in our time in town before the wedding and could not have pulled it off without the help of Sinead. The wedding went off so smoothly and was truly everything we could have hoped for and more! Sinead and her team were very responsive and answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly during the planning process and on the day. She even recommended local vendors for other services for the wedding which was very important since I was unfamiliar with the vendors in the area. The venue is stunning with beautiful views and well kept rooms. The food was outstanding and by far the best I've ever had at a wedding. Overall, I highly recommend the Inishowen Gateway Hotel for your wedding or just a nice vacation if you are in the area. 10/10!!!

02/12/2024: I had the BEST pancakes with fruits, mascapone & syrup, it was AMAZING! All our group really enjoyed their brunch which included mini breakfast, french toast & bacon, eggs Beni & waffles. Service was excellent and they had a box of toys to keep the kids entertained while we chatted. Would highly recommend.

27/11/2024: An absolutely beautiful bar. So warm and also welcoming but only when Grace and Maeve were working, as Maeve has now left. And we have been fortunate in our last three visits to have the pleasure of Grace. Sadly instead we left on all three occasions feeling let down and unwanted by the senior Barman. Very disappointing

25/09/2024: Was at Mark big 50th birthday we had a grrrrrrr night 2 very good bands. The food was amazing and the staff were excellent.
