24/11/2025: The food was disappointing. The gravy was too thick, lumpy, and overly salty. The chicken was greasy, and the breading fell off because the meat was overcooked. The woman behind the counter (older, with black hair) could also work on her customer service and attitude. Feel free to eat there if you don’t care about quality or taste — but I definitely won’t be returning.
17/11/2025: I listened to the Chicken Hut Blindboy podcast on the way to Ireland, as recommended by my Irish boyfriend.
My mouth was watering on the plane and I simply couldn’t wait to go to Chicken Hut.
You walk inside and it’s like a time capsule. The place is overwhelmingly run down but if you were born in the 90s, it gives you that warm nostalgic feeling that maccies would provide you as a child.
Boyfriend and I went for the gravy chip and 4 pieces of chicken. Presentation wasn’t incredible but hear me out, it’s all part of the experience. The gravy, it’s seriously proper stuff. It’s as thick as mashed potatoes, peppery and rich. The chicken, juicy, herbaceous, spicy, unique. I can’t wait to come back.
The forks in the bag, you ghoul!
I’ve saved the carrier bag to stick on my bedroom wall to savour this experience.

Kebab Corner

18/10/2025: I used to come here years ago when studying. Came back today to try it out again and I must say the chicken kebab is easily one of the my favourite in Ireland. Hard to beat it!! Also naan looks and tastes like it's made in house which is a nice bonus.
30/09/2025: If you hungry I recommend that place because is tasty and bread is fresh baked. If you want eat inside plz run. Dirty place need cleaning and refreshment

29/10/2025: Food is gone terrible soggy chips meat taste like dog food. Cost me over 50 euro to feed 3 people 2 of them being kids never again and what's with the 5 chips in the bag and two slices of meat in between gone off bread.

01/06/2025: We were eating our food and we found a hair in our tenders and the cutlery weren't even washed but the food was quite good. But I left disappointed.
10/02/2025: Food was fine, hot, tasty, fresh.
When you are asked to wait until you are seated...a " Hello" would be good... but the guy seemed busy and pointed to the table, dropped the menu and got back to his JUST EAT orders.
The inside wasn't busy .. but takeaway was flying. Good for them! But when a client is actually there... wouldn't it be good if we took priority? After all, they were not sacrificing a % of my bill to Just Eat.
The burger was excellent... combo fries ok.. and coke was fizzy.. not always a guarantee these days.
Toilets were clean but hot taps had no hot water, hand dryer didn't work so .. after food you eat with your hands.. my hands were difficult to clean. Paper towels were provided but the dispenser was broken. Come in lads.. if that's what a client can see.. what's it like behind the scenes!
The FOH guy was very friendly when not bombarded with phone calls and takeaway orders... he deserves a medal..
Managers... get your act together.
An American diner has staff serving tables... you'd stand out from the deluge of chicken shacks etc on O Connell street
I'd have ordered coffee... dessert... and upped my spend.. but the phone orders were far more demanding than an actual client at an actual table and your guy isn't an octopus.
Yes, I'd go again as the food was good... but get your bathrooms sorted and prioritise your walk ins over phone ins.

30/05/2024: Closed at half 8 says it’s closed at 9 on the site. Got there at 8:30 and everybody was out the back and was told there closed. Drove 15 mins for nothing. Cool. 👍
