30/11/2024: 10/10 experience, the wine was beautifully paired with our food, the fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, Patrick our server was great, we've waited years to come here, finally made the trip and ultimately had one of the best meals ever. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND

26/11/2024: Simple Ristopub, food absolutely nothing special, without praise and without infamy, the enormous, terrible problem of this place is the service, which needs to be completely reviewed, extremely slow, inattentive and listless... We chased after 3 waiters to have a seat, we finally had dinner, they brought us the dessert menu which I presume is still there on the table waiting for some kind soul to collect it..
After half an hour of waiting to take an order we threw in the towel and asked for the bill, we pointed out the unjustified wait, given that at the end of November the place was half empty, the response was a sleepy
"ah.. Sorry".
Recommended only if you want to waste more than two hours to eat just a main, otherwise go elsewhere
26/11/2024: Great pub grub, the service was spot on. Lovely pub and the locals and staff are good craíc. I will visit it again

27/10/2024: I had the 8 course tasting menu at the West. Food was incredibly well prepared, service was excellent. They just need to attention to cleaning. When we sat down at the table the wine glasses were dirty and there were cobweb on the lamp.
02/09/2024: Another fantastic evening at West. The food is so amazing there, the taste, the presentation, all superb. The servers are ready with all sorts of info on both the foods and the drinks. The fish was so fresh, the oysters were gorgeous. Duck cooked to perfection. Last time we went I couldn't fit the dessert so I made sure to leave space last night and it didn't disappoint. 8 course taster menu for €69. It's such a bargain for the evening that you get. Plenty of space between tables, good decor. A really fab evening.

18/11/2024: It's totally the time waste and staff have attitude problem.
26/10/2024: This was our first time in Spiced Bearna. Unacceptable waiting times to get food to take away. After telling us to wait 40 minutes for our order, they made us wait an extra 40 minutes more in the restaurant, which was very much empty by the way. No apologies. Just a "we are very busy" today (??). The food was average and overpriced. Do not waste your time and pick a different place.

30/11/2024: We dined tonight at the restaurant. Absolutely disgraceful service, lost food order, the waiter was very unfriendly and didn’t seem to know what he was doing!
We waited over 50 minutes for our meal which we learnt was not even put into the system, they quote “lost our order and it was never placed” in the kitchen system. The manger offered a voucher but refused to tell us a time that a new food order would take to be made.
The Manager Sonia should have offered a full refund for all the drinks we ordered instead and a time that the new order would take to be made after we waited 50 minutes for the original order! (Which she was unable to do) , terrible service, highly untrained staff, would avoid at all costs!
14/11/2024: So glad to see quality has bounced back here (after a disappointing meal last time around). A year ago if felt like the downstairs Pins restaurant at the Twelve had fell far in the shadows of the upstairs “West restaurant”. It was as if they had put everything into the West and downstair was suffering, but this time around we were delighted to receive a super tasty meal at the Pins with the renowned friendly and professional service that is expected at this great hotel. All courses were delicious and it’s nice to see that they are not letting the place get tired or dated, lovely new leather couches have been added and the bar itself has been tastefully refurbished. Can’t wait to come back again soon.

The Twelve Hotel Galway

21/12/2024: If you plan on staying here and want a drink after 12 (they close at 12) then don’t bother. They will not serve you even if you are staying in the hotel. Stay closer to town and save your money
16/12/2024: We have stayed several times at this hotel but our last experience was disappointing. Our room was cold and despite informing the reception the issue with the thermostat was not fixed and we had to sleep in a cold room. When we left in the morning we did not receive a lot of sympathy which we felt was very disappointing. We wrote some feedback to the hotel but received no acknowledgement about our disappointing experience despite the fact that we are regular customers.

27/09/2024: When ordering pizza online was quoted 30mins for pickup after placing the order this increased to 60mins - tried ringing to cancel order but no one answered the phone - has to drive there to cancel - poor service
09/09/2024: Used to be a great pizza place. Not anymore. Pineapple on the pizza tasted like it was gone bad. Never again.

30/03/2024: Great coffee. Busy popular spot in Barna Village. The pancakes with yogurt and berries were great and copious serving. Friendly staff. Nice outdoor seating if weather good. Warm and cosy indoors when weather otherwise. Local staff and which is becoming the exception..keep up the good work
