30/05/2025: We stopped for a pint in Gort and struck up a convo with some locals about an ancestral home (with sketchy details) but they knew what we were talking about and even looked up the phone number of an old-timer who could fill in some gaps!
What a thrill (and the bar was quite fun, too; the horse-racing was on the telly!)

19/09/2024: Josey and Karen were amazing! What a great local Irish Pub experience! We couldn't have asked for better. Charming. Funny. Great stories! If you are looking for a great local experience then this is it. And a Pittsburgh Steelers pub to Boot (go Pats!). Next time we are in Ireland we will visit again. In the meantime, go to Harte's and keep our seats warm for us.
20/08/2024: Great local pub situated in the heart of Gort. Friendly Bar man, You couldn't miss the big sign on the wall 'CASH ONLY, NO CARDS'. The locals are not afraid to have a chat with you, without being overly curious and presuming you're some long lost yank looking to trace your roots! The pub was unmodernised, which I found refreshing especially in this day and age where everything is WIFI and TAP and people have forgotten the art of conversation, not a smart phone in sight, just gentle harmless banter and the added bonus that β¬5 CASH will get you one of the nicest pints of Guinness ever

25/06/2025: Pretty pictures on the internet but the room we are in has old, dated furniture, old carpet and looks nothing like the pretty pictures online.
The worst part is that the hotel has NO AIR CONDITIONING!!! Sitting here miserably hot....my wife and I are thinking about just going outside and sitting somewhere. Hard to imagine a hotel owner thinking guests are going to want to come into a room where it's literally miserable hot. I see why our tour company picked it....CHEAP!!!
My wife called about an extension cord for a fan and instead of guest services brining it up, they said we could come down and get it.
All around, not a place I would ever want to stay at again!!!
01/06/2025: Kind staff, comfortable beds, wonderful amenities. Grateful to the receptionist and the night porter who were very accommodating on a busy weekend

07/05/2025: Had a great lunch at Sullivanβs hotel. It was superb and the service from the staff was exceptional. Highly recommend this place off the main highway.
03/05/2025: This is the most incredible find! Wonderful food, great value, incredible service and amazing staff. Top it off with an atmosphere of home from home where everyone is treated like family. We were lucky to find this venue so please please do not miss it, it's worth stopping in for real home cooked food and a heart warming chat with the owner and staff. Highly recommend!

There are stationery, and rare spices, etc. There is a pharmacy and a hairdresser. Deep down, there is also a dentist. A whole shopping center. There is a large parking lot with places for the disabled and separate families

03/10/2024: Just letting people know that the granary have incorrect information on their website and on Google.
I ordered, they took the payment, drove 20 mins to collect and it is closed. No answer from phone.
I know other people have reported this online, and the possible open days are ever changing.
This is terrible customer service, and I wonβt be returning again, as this is a recurrent problem that they think is acceptable for customers to deal with regularly.
Unacceptable.
