28/01/2025: While enjoying a 2-night stay we ate in the restaurants both nights. We'd often spoken of the seafood chowder since staying in Ballyvaughan at Easter 1991. Unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations this time. Too thick with a small amount of fish. We were also a bit disappointed in the mussels and the clams but OH enjoyed the fish pie.
PS breakfast was good and very generous! With lovely seaview to enjoy too.

28/10/2024: Just arrived home from our third excursion to Ballyvaughan!
Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. Comfortable rooms; at great value.
Information regarding local amenities and attractions readily available. In fact, anything you require assistance with, the staff are more than obliged to try to accommodate you.
Unmatched atmosphere in the hotel bar, with excellent food and entertainment.
27/10/2024: Went to the hotel for dinner, very disappointing, firstly I couldn't read the menu as it was so dark ,the waiter had to shine his phone on the menu so I could see.
Food was only ok, it was cold ,definitely would not recommend
