25/09/2025: Attended as part of company lunch and Elise was very accommodating in making reservation. Upon arrival allocated dining area ready for our party. Great choice available on menu with orders taken promptly after arriving. Food delivered right on time with presentation and quality top notch. Variety of menu items ordered with good reviews of all from my colleagues. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back.
19/08/2025: Had a fabulous light lunch on the patio area.
Signature steak sandwich, coffee and pear and almond scone.
Can only say good things about the waitresses - jovial and patient.
Food was excellent, pricing good and arrived promptly.
A great little cafe above the strip so quiet and secluded with a lovely atmosphere.
Coffee- flat white 8.5/10 - very good.
A nice place to rest your legs after visiting the Castle or climbing St Canice’s tower.

27/09/2025: I loved having breakfast at ML Dore as the food was excellent and the servers were very friendly and helpful.
My husband and I had an omelette with salad and everything was delicicious.
The coffee was also very good.
The seating area at the back of the restaurant is very comfortable with a very nice ambiance.

14/07/2024: Tuvimos un tiempo increíble en el brunch sin fondo. El servicio fue absolutamente increíble, y el DJ realmente añadió a toda la experiencia. Muy recomendable
19/06/2024: Honestamente, no puedo entender la alta calificación que este lugar ha logrado. Estábamos de despedida de soltera y reservamos las 2: 30 Ranura de almuerzo sin fondo el sábado. Era un manicomio absoluto con la música por las nubes. Terrible comida, asqueroso efervescente y cócteles acuosos. El comedor es una larga habitación estrecha oscura sin cubiertas en las mesas y sillas de mala calidad.
Nos fuimos después de una hora. Si usted está pensando en reservar esto, debe conseguir uno de su grupo para ir primero para comprobarlo.

16/06/2025: Muy decepcionado. Tenía muchas ganas de desayunar. Pedí la opción Desayuno 2. Las salchichas eran minúsculas, las dos rebanadas de tocino estaban tan crujientes que parecían 2 orejas de cerdo en el plato. Por 14 €. 85 realmente era muy mala relación calidad-precio. Rip Off Ireland está vivo y bien

16/10/2025: Wedding Venue of our dreams!!
Wow! I can’t recommend the Avalon highly enough! Laura is a phenomenal wedding organiser who listens to your vision and brings it to life! She feels like a friend straight away who is fully invested in the day! Peter and Laura then make sure the day runs perfectly, remaining calm and positive throughout! The Avalon is the perfect place for a private wedding where you are the priority for the whole hotel! They could not have been more supportive! I can’t thank them enough for the most perfect day! All of our guests loved it commenting on the gorgeous food, friendly staff and homely rooms!
07/10/2025: Good overnight accommodation near Kilkenny. Parking was free. The bathroom cleanliness could be improved.
Special thanks to the two lovely young ladies at breakfast.
I can recommend the hotel.
