19/11/2025: We've never written a bad review before, but my friends and I have decided we should after this afternoon. We will say the food is nice, but it's not even close to making up for the extremely poor service we have received alongside it. We have been back many times, as it is close by, but today was our last. Grown adults tried to bully us into paying for food we had not ordered and were extremely unprofessional when dealing with their own mistake (this has happened more than once and to others we know). They had also charged our friend for a dip (which is fine), but this was after they had forgotten to put her order through to the kitchen. When they finally brought her food out, they had already cleared the rest of our plates, again with little to no apology. You would assume that maybe, at the very least, ketchup could be free:/ We can appreciate that someone could be having a bad day, but it seems that the service staff here are consistently having these days, and it's reflected in how they treat customers, especially students.

06/10/2025: A culinary masterpiece. Chicken so tender it melts in your mouth. Gravy so rich and complex it's an exploration of flavour. Chips so crispy it's a dream come true.
Chicken hut should be studied by the culinary students who have aspirations to make something truly wonderful. Any 3 star michellin resturant would love to be in the position of Chicken hut with food so good it transcends boundaries.
5 stars is an understatement. This is resturant is truly a gift from God.

05/10/2025: The restaurant's location is excellent, and the meal vouchers from our hotel were a great start. The food itself was fantastic, which made our experience even more frustrating. Unfortunately, the service was atrocious. We were not attended to at any stage during our meal, and no one checked if we wanted more drinks. We also had long waits for our food and had to flag down staff just to get the bill. It was disappointing to see what looked like a lack of training or management, as staff seemed to stand around talking to each other instead of helping customers. The poor service completely overshadowed what should have been a wonderful meal.

09/07/2025: Brought a group of 60 people over from the US stayed 4 nights. Staff was very accommodating, breakfasts and bar food delicious. Hotel bar had reasonable prices. Would definitely stay there again.
28/06/2025: Honestly we have had the best stay!
The lady Sarah was so welcoming and couldnât have been more accommodating!
We enjoyed every minute of the stay from the amazing rooms to the 5 star breakfast!
We cannot wait for our next visit!

02/11/2025: We visited the restaurant for dinner on Saturday, November 1st. We had excellent service from Billy; however, we had two interactions with an older man who treated us rudely when we asked to change tables and again when it was time to pay the bill. The food was great, and the atmosphere was pleasant, but this unpleasant experience with that gentleman left a bad impression.
01/11/2025: Amazing, food was still warm after ordering them an hour before receiving due to drivers unavailability, very professional couldn't recommend higher

12/11/2025: They gave me normal chips and priced it as large cheese fries, then gave me a dip pot of cheese, it wasn't melted on the fries as in usual smacs.
Disappointed.

25/10/2025: Private birthday party on the 1st floor. Great but very small room with private bar and waiters. Perfect for a gathering of up to 50 people. Downstairs was like a pub restraunt when I arrived and then turned into a fully packed nightclub when I left. A great spot to spend an evening.

01/05/2025: Iâm going to talk about the main attraction: MancherĂČ & shiitake agnolotti | smoked onion consommĂ© | charred broccoli & shallot
This combination was noted by the host as âcomplexâ. Oh boy oh boy it was FUN! So many flavours exploding on the tastebuds. This dish was surely a delight! Even when eating my cheese dessert, the main was all I could think about.
Iâm just sad I canât relive it over and over.
24/11/2024: Amazing cuisine. Extremely attentive to gluten allergy for family member. Will return soon.
Halibut cooked to
Perfection. Family members enjoyed venison. Crab and scallops starters also excellent.

14/04/2024: visited the bar here for a family lunch on Sunday . lovely welcome from Shannon and Kevin . very extensive menu. I ordered Caesar Salad and my fiancee ordered the beef. ordered taken by a lovely girl called Sarah . Service quick and portion size massive . food was beautiful. Def our fav place to go on a Sunday . very reasonably priced also . well done to all the staff and chef . 5 star service provided all around .

14/07/2025: We are fans of this local cafe. The food is always consistent and staff are always on the mark and there is always a pleasant smile and walm welcome awaits.
We try to visit here anytime we are in the area and suggest this cafe to our clients who visit Rosslare area.
