08/12/2024: Went for the first time last weekend for my partners birthday and was unbelievably impressed. The food was amazing and there was loads of it. Service was top notch also. Will definitely be back.

15/12/2024: A group of 11 of us booked a dinner in Kelly's for December 6th but Darragh had different ideas.Postponed until the 13th and arrived in Kelly's at about 8pm. Food was delicious,service impeccable and we had a great ould chat with the chef afterwards.Duck was out of this world...as was everything else on the menu. Highly recommended!

12/01/2025: Nice old pub, very clean and well kept. Also clean toilets which is a rarity in Irish pubs. The Guinness is excellent here too. But €13 for goujons and frozen chips? A total rip off.

03/01/2025: A cracking pub. Lovely staff and the customers are so friendly. A really typical Irish Pub setting with a wide range of beers and spirits. I didnt have the food but heard it was great from locals

31/12/2024: A beautiful garden, even at this time of year (December), worth a visit. Lots of interesting things to discover during the walk.

31/12/2024: I will return there in the spring. It will be even better there, you can walk around the park all day.

28/10/2024: Had lunch with a party of 6. Place was packed and since it was raining outside could not be used (welcome to Ireland). Small wait for a table but worth it. Food was very good. Waitresses very friendly. Service was great. Thank you for the delicious meal. Will definitely be stopping back.

09/10/2024: “Good things come in small packages” is true for this lively garden centre. Plants and flowers look quite healthy, not two items are the same, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. Pity I didn’t see their hens, but I came across a beautiful cat, who kept a watchful eye on my dog :) I didn’t try the cafe on this occasion, but noticed that it’s popular. I will be back when I’m in the area again.

09/10/2024: Good quality breakfast and great coffee. Nice gift shop too. Would have sat outside in loft area had we known it was there but we were steered into the front part and only realised how large and sprawling it was after finishing our meal.

05/10/2024: Lovely cafe and gift shop. You can eat and also check out their beautiful items on sale, always great food and great service as usual

29/11/2024: Had a table booked, they had out phone number, we checked earlier in the day to confirm, yet when we got there (5 mins early) they told us they'd let the chef go home as it had been a very quiet evening. Not impressed, after organising a babysitter and travelling for over a half hour. Killeens down the street took us, provided excellent food, service and atmosphere.

28/12/2024: First time in this establishment, I proceeded to check out the menu and seen "Larkin's home made burger" so i proceeded to order that item. Unfortunately what was put in front of me was beyond shocking. I am baffled as to where they came up with "Home Made", This was the worst burger I have seen to date and it was nothing more than 2 pieces of beef pate or some processed crap that was burned and possibly reheated. I would not recommend this place for food to anyone. Sad as I heard great things about this place, but some people may just accept crap and wont complain.

24/11/2024: Absolutely beautiful carvery. €20 for the carvery and a dessert, and a bistin portion! Apple tart was gorgeous! Meat melted in your mouth, and all the veggies were cooked to perfection. Great good, great service, and a lovely drop of tea! After drooling over the Facebook posts, I'm so glad I've had a chance to try it for real. Very highly recommended!

09/12/2024: Really love this place, great big sandwiches, fair prices... and they seem very interested in doing good in the community and the world :) The staff are for the most part some of the nicest folks you'll encounter in a day... but I do every once in a while encounter this one girl who just isn't... the other week she just totally ignored a customer ahead of me to speak to and serve one of her friends who was behind them in the queue. The same girl then only half paid attention to my order, still chatting to her mate and gave me regular milk in my oat milk latte... which was fine, I'm not allergic... but it was also a really terrible coffee which isn’t at all normal for this place. Anyway... I know I'm being a moan, I mainly felt bad for the customer who didn't say anything about being ignored and made wait longer for their order. I keep flip flopping on the stars... the service is great most of the time but recently, it has been 1 star at best a few times (all the same person serving me)

10/10/2024: This is such a beautiful spot. We walked down from the square and glad we passed the other few cafes on the way down. It was busy which is always a good sign. We ordered some breakfast paninis, Tea and a Latte. Portions were enough to satisfy and the taste was divine. Lovely atmosphere with more to the cafe then the front room. Great value for the quality of the food and service. If you're in Birr pop in you won't be disappointed. Had to buy some cake and Gluten free buns before we left. Couldn't resist...

20/10/2024: Luckily the season is over. Mostly locals in the pub/restaurant. Food was excellent. Here you can endure it longer.
