20/10/2024: Be me. Travel alone. It's cold and a bit breezy. Do some quick googling. Realize you can't get in to the Michelin started place. Fallback and COME HERE! Be warned it will be busy. The people know about this place. The place looks a lot bigger on the outside (opposite TARDIS). Inside there might be about 8 seats. The Q is packed. Order for take away and miss out on some specials. The staff is helpful and friendly even for a foreigner like myself. I got a prawn onigiri and tantanmen. The onigiri was gigantic, and if you're not terribly hungry it might do you. The diamond was the tantanmen however. This dish was absolute gas. šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„ I did cry a bit because I'll have to fly back to Cork to get this again. The atmosphere added to the dinner. I felt welcomed, like someone elses home, and home cooking. Thanks for making feel like family for the evening. Immaculate. šŸ’™

17/11/2024: We've been going here for years and recently came to use up a voucher. We havenā€™t been in a while and were shocked by the hefty price increasesā€”around 23% across the menu in the last 11 months. The vegetarian ramen is now ā‚¬16, and the chicken katsu curry a whopping ā‚¬20.50. We understand the impact of inflation, high energy costs, and the end of tax relief, and we recognize that businesses must pass these costs onto customers. However, compared to countries like Italy, Germany, and Japan, the prices here seem unreasonable, and weā€™ve decided not to return. We just came back from a trip to Japan, where we paid a maximum of ā‚¬8-max. 10ā‚¬ for vegetarian ramen, ā‚¬12 for pork ramen, and ā‚¬10 for chicken katsu in the so-called "expensive" Japan. Prices included drinks.. As for the taste, we might have been spoiled by Japan, but the ramen lacked flavor and protein (it had two tiny pieces of tofu), though the curry sauce from the katsu was good, but the price just leaves a bitter taste. Service was fine. So overall, if you donā€™t mind paying absolutely astronomical prices for dinner, youā€™ll have a decent time. Weā€™d rather save that money for a trip instead.
17/11/2024: Authentic Japanese cuisine in Cork. The udon dashi base soup has all the umami flavor you'd expect. The curry chicken udon is savory but the portion size is possibly smaller for the value. Sushi portions are decent and good value. They have all of the traditional dishes from noodle soups, fried yaki noodles, rice dishes, curry rice, bento box meals, and specials. Vegetable tempura portions could be better as far as portion to tempura batter.

22/10/2024: Very nice and delicious foods. However, a five star requires perfection to feel like real japanese food and environment.
15/10/2024: Nice Japanese atmosphere, polite and fast working people and the food is great. I had dinner there 2 evenings and it did not disappoint

02/10/2024: The food was lovely, I had a Japanese style chicken curry with rice. Plenty of veg and sauce in the curry, not much meat though. The service was relatively quick. The price was ok too. I couldn't help but notice that everything in the seating area, which was covered in soft cushions and throws for a cosy feel, needed a good old washing. The floors also were in need of a good steam clean / degreasing. Nice place overall, with a bit of better maintenance on the cleaning side would go a long way.
17/09/2024: Really delicious and authentic sushi which are served in a cozy and friendly place. Enj,oed every single bite. Strongly recommend.

26/10/2024: Very cute restaurant with a lot of potential. However for a Saturday night it was disappointing to have 2 of the specials unavailable at 19:30. Food was a bit overpriced, specially the grilled salmon with rice for ā‚¬21. Service was very okay. It could become a great place
22/10/2024: Food was too salty. Overall expensive for what you get. Not really impressed
