Ichibanya Sushi and Noodles Bar
Cork, <20£
25/05/2025: Beat japanese food in cork, prices are a little high but you can't argue with food w quality and service .
15/05/2025: There is a new sushi and noodles restaurant here, everything was built again, this restaurant did a complete cleaning of the old business, everything was thrown in the trash or the old owners took everything, everything is very clean here, there is no dirt, slowly this restaurant is conquering Wilton and the surrounding area because when the food is good, the service is good, the customers always come back, as you know, it takes time to build a place, but this one has already taken off and I hope they have much success and much luck and that they are open for many years.

Miyazaki
Cork
26/04/2025: Best japanese (affordable) food in Cork ;) Need to be first (max 6th) in line to get a seat in the tiny dining area

Maki Sushi Rolls
Cork
01/04/2025: Service was friendly and quick. Limited prepped menu allows for quick takeaway. Can enjoy the food while walking around. Make note that the spicy tuna roll is cooked, so it has a cooked tuna flavor as you’d expect.
Overall it was pretty great food and I would recommend.
30/01/2025: Nice sushi plates. Everything was very fresh and tasty! Friendly staff too.

Wabisabi
Cork
14/05/2025: Delicious, quickly served, very nice service.
11/05/2025: The chashumen ramen was spectacular, one of the best I have ever eaten. A sushi delight. Our favorite was the so-called chef's favorite roll. Very attentive service, very clean and pretty cutlery. And as a curiosity, they always serve you the house tea, which is served to you throughout the service. Spectacular!!! More than recommended.

Dashi
Cork
03/05/2025: Had an amazing evening at Dashi last night, everything was perfect and we really enjoyed the our diner. The service was amazing, the chief came to talk to me when I had questions about the menu, and the waitress was double nice to our kids. Icing on the cake, they gifted me some wine after I asked them for a lighter as we wanted to light candles for my birthday. Really friendly staff and atmosphere, highly recommended !!
27/04/2025: The most perfect place in the world! We loved Dashi Deli! 💜

Ichigo Ichie
Cork
27/04/2025: I’m a big fan of Miyazaki and had the tasting menu in the old Ichigo Ichie years ago, which was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the new bistro was a huge disappointment.
We had booked the bar counter, but when we arrived, there was no one at the bar — it just seemed like a dumping area, with trays and boxes everywhere. The service was poor too: we were left with empty glasses for about 30 minutes and no one came over to check if we wanted more drinks. We could also hear loud music coming from the kitchen, which made the atmosphere feel even more chaotic.
To be fair, the duck starter was delicious, and my wife enjoyed her cod. However, when I bit into my chicken, it was raw and cold inside. When I flagged it, the waitress told me it was just “pink because it’s chicken thighs,” but it was very clearly undercooked. The chefs repeated the same line about using a thermometer, but the replacement dish they brought out was properly cooked and a lot hotter, proving the first one wasn’t right.
I don’t mind mistakes — they happen — but I do mind being made to feel like I’m being awkward when raising a genuine issue. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience, and I won’t be returning.
22/04/2025: This is the pride of Asian cuisine, the finest Japanese dining experience here, and the place that best comprehends the essence of Japanese cuisine. It is a stroke of good fortune for Cork that with this great chef's presence, you have the opportunity to savor the most exquisite Japanese delicacies.
I feel compelled to share this: most of the low-scoring reviews do not truly apprehend the soul of Japanese cuisine—they are, in fact, strangers to its depths. This is hardly just or reverent. For those unacquainted, abstaining from critique or choosing not to patronize would be more graceful than feigning expertise.
I cherish this establishment through every iteration of its journey, and I hold in the highest regard the chef’s profound dedication to the delicate art of creating exquisite culinary masterpieces.
I earnestly wish that the quality of reviews by Cork’s residents might be uplifted. Let us transcend ignorance and subjectivity, and refrain from offering casual critiques. While sharing your experiences, please honor the meticulous efforts of the restaurant with due respect.
