Ichibanya Sushi and Noodles Bar
Cork, <20£
05/12/2025: The food is amazing, but I am giving three stars because one of the waitresses is rude every time. The skinny , long hair with a pair of glasses. The other staffs are lovely.
18/11/2025: Nice service and really tasty food with a good price. It's one of the best japanese restaurants in this city

Miyazaki
Cork
06/02/2026: 1hr wait for a take away seems excessive..
People from the nearby bars come in and order and go back to the bar for their pint.. just seems unfair that this place is acting like a kitchen for the bars around.. can’t argue with it but is annoying
28/01/2026: Probably the best food on the city, unbelievable consistency. Everytime I go its perfect.

Sakura
Cork
15/01/2026: Very lovely and they were very nice about helping me figure out my order (had to change some stuff). Also tried plum wine for the first time, it was pleasant.
14/01/2026: We did a quick stop after we agreed japanese or tai. We did the right choice. Service was wonderful, warm and professional. Proper information is provided about food and drinks. Loved the atmosphere and foods. Kimchi was spot on!

Wabisabi
Cork
09/12/2025: Very friendly staff, foods tasty and clean
29/11/2025: One of the waiters looked at me at the entrance and told his manager that I am a hillbilly before even I started talking to them, and they together laughed at me. Bad attitude of the waiter and manager totally distupts this place. 29.11.2025 1:30pm

Maki Sushi Rolls
Cork
12/10/2025: My favorite takeaway sushi spot, a must stop every time we visit Cork, right in the heart of the English Market. So many choices of sushi to choose. I also really loved their poke bowl. Very affordable. Highly recommended.
11/10/2025: Best sushi ever tasted, tuna roll was out of this world. Great selection, even had vegan rolls also.

Dashi
Cork
26/09/2025: We loved to go to Dashi and it was our go-to takeaway in COVID times. I ordered for collection on a Thursday evening at 7pm, half of the sushi options were gone and the curry and udon noodle dishes (or at least parts thereof) were heated in a microwave, and it still took them 25 minutes to put the order together. The dishes lacked veggies and where mediocre at best, and I couldn't finish the seaweed salad. Very disappointed.
18/09/2025: Visited the place just for the first time, as I saw they have a lot of great reviews, and variety of options, but unfortunately were disappointed, as many of the ingredients weren’t just included.
They show in the menu that the sushi has variety of ingredients, and a lot of interesting stuff like: asparagus, chive, chilli powder, and so, but unfortunately they just used instead of the asparagus the curcumber, and we had no chives or chilli powder, although we should have had😟
Also the trout sushi we had was half raw/and half cooked👀

Ichigo Ichie
Cork
01/02/2026: The bistro is casual, and we found a warm welcome and a friendly team on a busy Saturday night. We were a party of 4 and selected a large variety of starters between us. I had the Agedashi tofu and the warm bucketwheat noodle broth with yuzu (almost impossible to get yuzu in Ireland!). I've been to Japan. It will ALWAYS be challenging to get the very same tastes outside of Japan 😃, but I really enjoyed both of these dishes, and they were very much what i would expect of the "classic/simple" Japanese flavours. Of the other dishes we tried, I really liked the starters of: pork, warm oyster special, scallops, and tempura mushroom. I am generally not as much a fan of Don/Donburi, so those will never be as high on my list! We shared the 2 deserts, everyone enjoyed them. I will be back!
19/01/2026: This was the worst service experience I’ve ever had. The waitress showed a complete lack of basic respect toward customers — I’m referring specifically to the waitress named Magda. Unfortunately, the food was also mediocre and, at times, poorly prepared. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
