Ichibanya Sushi and Noodles Bar
Cork, <20£
22/06/2025: There is a new sushi and noodle restaurant here. Everything was rebuilt. The restaurant has completely cleaned up the old business. Everything was thrown in the trash or the previous owners took everything. Everything is now very clean. There is no dirt here. This restaurant is slowly winning over Wilton and the surrounding area because when the food is good, the service is good and the customers always come back. As you know, it takes time to build a business, but this one has already taken off and moved very quickly. Congratulations. Every day, as of Wednesday, there has been a significant increase in business. In fact, to my surprise, you can see a lot of people here ordering to take home. In the entrance hall, there are some chairs where customers wait. But don't be fooled, you can also see a lot of people dining in the restaurant's dining room. This is very good for the area here in Wilton, with the other businesses also open around here. I want to wish the restaurant much happiness and many good things for the future. I hope it has much success and much luck and that it will be open for many, many years.

Miyazaki
Cork
06/06/2025: One of my total favourite restaurants/ take-aways in cork. Every dish is always so delicious with such unique flavours. It’s small so you never know if you’ll be able to sit, but I’m always happy to get takeaway instead - so delicious. The aged dashi tofu is my favourite!
18/05/2025: Absolutely delicious, chicken katsu curry was incredible. Service was also fantastic, everyone was super nice and friendly

Sakura
Cork
03/06/2025: They have amazing food with a generous portion size at a very decent price. The only thing to consider is that the place is very small and tables are set right next to each other so it might feel a bit crowded at times.
24/05/2025: I ordered Catching Fire while my friend had the Tiger Roll, as well as Eda Mame. Sakura's sushi is 🌟 Excellent ~ It was perfect with a nice quiet atmosphere while we ate and the staff were wonderful, professional, and polite.
On this street there are many places to eat. They are all very busy! Sakura is not a place I imagine will be noisy at any hour, it is very peaceful.
I will also recommend Catching Fire for people who hate sushi "because it's raw fish". The salmon is cooked so I'm sure anyone will enjoy it!

Wabisabi
Cork
21/06/2025: One of the best restaurants in cork. I have been here many times since it opened and the service and food quality never disappoint.
20/06/2025: Delicious. It's a shame we have to go back to Spain, otherwise we'd eat here often. The pork melts in your mouth, and the ramen broth is so flavorful.

Dashi

17/05/2025: The worst sushi I've ever eaten, nothing is fresh and the staff is a bit bored! I don't recommend it in any way!

Maki Sushi Rolls
Cork
26/05/2025: Love what they’re trying for here and hope they can make it work but won’t be eating here again until they deep clean their prep space. You can literally see the grime from standing outside the counter in the queue. Just wiping down surface areas doesn’t cut it when you’re working in the food industry guys.
20/05/2025: I had the vegan rolls and absolutely loved it! Everything was super fresh and delicious. The place is clean, well-organized, and the staff are really friendly. Highly recommend it!

Ichigo Ichie
Cork
01/06/2025: Food was delicious and the staff were amazing. Just the right balance of attentiveness and privacy
20/05/2025: Ichigo Ichie offers a warm dining experience with attentive service that sets the tone for the evening. I started with the fried oysters, which lacked a distinctive flavour and felt a bit underwhelming. However, the meal quickly picked up with the duck soba: rich, balanced, and full of depth. The highlight, though, was the matcha panna cotta for dessert: a beautifully crafted dish with a memorable mix of textures and flavours that left a lasting impression. A great spot for a thoughtfully curated Japanese meal.
