12/09/2026: So much fun! Food is delicious and the chefs set the time for a super fun Teppenyaki! We booked a seat up around the chefs bar so we were right in the middle of the action. Great fun for celebration nights in Rathmines!

07/08/2026: Read this if you’re from Canada 🚨 Cali rolls at home are $6 - here they’re £17.50 😭 and they’re the worst thing I’ve ever had. There was a literal crab shell in the roll, I thought I broke a tooth. The gyoza are so small it’s laughable and they’re also insanely expensive. I need to stop trusting the high reviewed places because they have been the worst I’ve been to in all of Ireland. Can’t trust the Irish judgement clearly.

14/09/2026: I have found that when talking to people in the Dublin area, all have recommended Takara as the best ramen bar by a landslide, and I couldn’t agree more! For the past year or so I have visited this restaurant every time I was in Dublin and each time was met with incredible food and service! Pricing: Takara has excellent pricing across the board, especially for ramen and bento boxes. I have found other restaurants in Dublin to charge €18-20 for a single bowl of ramen, whereas Takara has consistently kept their prices at the €13 mark which is incredible value for the food you are getting. Food: Takara offers a wide variety of food at their establishment such as sushi, bento boxes, ramen and more. Personally, I am a huge fan of the variety of ramen, as myself and my friends all have different food restrictions and it can be hard to find a place that suits all of us. However Takara offers different ramen with beef, pork, chicken and even vegan ramen, making it inclusive for all! Service: I have found the service here to be excellent every time I’ve visited. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the food is served quickly no matter how busy the establishment. Additionally, I often find the portion sizes large and have always asked for a container to take my leftovers home, each time staff have kindly provided me with a takeaway box and bag for my convenience which allows me to get two meals out of their wonderful food and prevent waste. Overall I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s interest was even slightly peaked by their menu or the reviews. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

14/09/2026: Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!!! I stayed in Dublin for four and a half days and ate at this restaurant three times, I would of gone more if I didn't have all day tours. The kimchi is incredible!!!

09/07/2026: I've always loved this restaurant and have been here many times. Tonight I brought my mum and my fiancé. We arrived at 8:50 pm and were told the kitchen closed at 10 pm, which was absolutely fine. We would never take that long to order, so it seemed like an unnecessary warning. The food was delicious as always, but the service felt very rushed from the moment we sat down. I understand the staff wanted to finish for the night, although we left well before closing time, so it didn't feel very welcoming. What disappointed me most was the mandatory 10% service charge. The waitress handed me the card machine so quickly that I only noticed the extra charge on the bill after I had paid. I thought this only applied to large tables, and I've never seen it happen here before. I usually tip, but based on tonight's service, I wouldn't have left 10%, and I wasn't given a choice. Having the charge added without it being pointed out was just as disappointing as the service.
