The best restaurants in Cahirciveen

12/06/2025: Just the best place to be. That was 7 years ago and it still is the best place with the best quality food there is in Cahersiveen.

06/04/2025: OMG food is absolutely beautiful! Dined here Sunday the 6th and only found it by using Google reviews so knew straight away we were in for a treat. Chicken wings are beautiful and crispy, soup was beautiful and the brown bread was absolutely delicious, Had the Fish and Chips which was beautiful also. Two beautiful ladies served us who were so nice and welcoming. Looking forward to visiting here again some time in the future.

06/06/2025: El hotel parecía un poco anticuado desde el exterior, pero decidimos darle una oportunidad y estábamos encantados de que lo hicimos! La comida era deliciosa y las porciones eran generosas. El servicio fue excelente y en general tuvimos una experiencia muy positiva.

26/06/2025: The best coffee in South Kerry. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely music. Friendly staff. The cakes are delicious. Very baby/buggy friendly too. A real gem on the Ring of Kerry.

03/06/2025: A wonderful traditional Irish pub. Dropped in for lunch during our travels through Kerry. Service was great. The food was exceptional. Fish and chips we're the best we'd had during our time abroad. Cottage pie was delicious.

23/05/2025: I had the Guinness stew at Fertha Bar & Restaurant, and it was absolutely incredible! The meat was tender, the sauce was rich and full of flavour, and you could really taste the depth the Guinness added. It was the perfect comfort food, and you can tell the chef did an excellent job—every bite was delicious. What really surprised me was the portion size. It was very generous, especially for the price, which makes it not only tasty but also great value. The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming, and the staff were absolutely lovely—friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend if you’re in Cahersiveen and want a hearty, satisfying meal!

05/07/2025: Visited 2 weeks ago when on holiday, was recommended by someone we had met the previous days when we told them we'd be in Cahersiveen. To be honest it was not the best experience - not horrible or bad per se, just not great. The pizzas are not really pizzas - they're more like a tortilla wrap with toppings. It was so hard to tell what kind of dough the base was as it was so thin. But it really did not resemble any pizza I've ever had (and trust me, I eat pizza!). The building itself is obviously beautiful, it's great to be able to sit and have a meal in such a venue, but the place was pretty dead, and as a result the staff (who were all young - no older than early 20s) didn't really give the impression they could be arsed, to be frank. Again, there was no rudeness etc. but a very clear lack of any kind of effort, no smiles, barely any words, and by the time we had paid they seemed glad to get rid of us (we were the last people in, but this was before closing). There was a really awkward interaction between them and a couple who'd come in to order pizza to takeaway too. It was all just a bit odd and the food was not very good. I wouldn't go back, mostly because of the food - it's just not pizza! If they upped their game and started making real pizza dough etc I'd probably give it another chance, in spite of all of the other issues. The tourist season didn't really feel like it had began when we were there so perhaps this is why it was so dead and the staff were quite lackluster and had given up mentally. Who knows. Anyway - I'm not saying don't try this place, you may have a completely different experience. This is just the one we had 🙂

01/07/2025: Very clean, well-maintained rooms. A self-serve breakfast is served in the room, complete with everything you need. The restaurant offers delicious food, especially fish.

30/06/2025: We had family and friends gathered in Cahersiveen to celebrate a 70th birthday, and QC’s was the perfect choice. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. A heartfelt thank you to the team for making it so special!

25/05/2025: Unfortunately no rooms left but the barman kindly provided contact details for local accommodation. Returned later in the evening- relaxed, welcoming atmosphere- outstanding staff- attentive, polite, professional and there for you to enjoy your evening. Had mussels as a main followed by sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and fruit. A truly delicious meal, tasty, stylish but not pretentious. I would highly highly recommend this eatery- congratulations to all the staff and owner for their great work

01/06/2025: Normal irish pub with great food and service. I can recommend tacos but everything else also looked fine!

22/05/2025: The food is typical as it should be for a pub with a fine Iridchen beer. We would go back if we were to go on holiday here again.
