18/07/2025: Restaurant is nice and cosy however the customer service is beyond terrible,just a bunch of kids awkwardly standing there. We had to wait an hour and twenty mins for our food. The price is not worth what you get, portions are very small. Terrible service, long wait and have the nerve to slap on 15% service charge for that experience. There was 11 of us, not likely any of us will be back!
02/07/2025: It used to be good but now it has deteriorated. There is no flavor, no taste.
How can chef make the veg pakoras which are not properly cooked . It’s bizzare.
Literally, the gram flour is raw inside.
If someone is paying for food then can at least expect this much.

27/05/2026: We recently celebrated my husband’s birthday at The Mill Restaurant & Terrace and the food was delicious. We had a three-course meal, and even my toddler loved the fish and garlic bread. The setting is beautiful, with relaxing water sounds, and the staff were attentive and efficient. Highly recommend!
16/04/2026: I keep coming back to the memories of that dinner… It was not only absolutely delicious, but also simply beautiful – the atmosphere, the details, everything created such a special experience. It’s one of those places you keep thinking about long after you leave.
We often reminisce about that evening and always love coming back. Thank you for what you’ve created – it truly is something special 🤍

25/01/2026: Great food but every time I order for delivery in Straffan it's at least 90min to 2 hours. I really like the staff and food but your delivery drivers are letting you down. Plus they never deliver to my house. It's 40feet away because they can't be bothered to drive in to the estate.

27/02/2026: Staff were in a world of their own. One lad walked in from the street didn't wash his hands then started touching the pizza peel (thing to get it out the oven) with his bare hands. Pizza was bland not much flavour off it. Overall couldn't go back in a hurry or would never go out my way to get it again. Overall a 2/5 stars

19/05/2026: Visited the Abbey Lodge for lunch with 18 members of our Active Virginians Retirement Group. We had phoned in our choices of the menu in advance. Deirdre and her staff were very friendly and obliging. The food was delicious. Great variety of choice. We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend the Abbey Lodge, Celbridge for your, or your group's, lunch.

01/06/2026: Waiting an hour for 2doner kebabs, rang back to see what story was and was told they ready now to go out! Excuse was bad traffic on a bank holiday evening. Food came another 15 minutes later cold with more cabbage than meat. Paid by card otherwise I'd of cancelled it, €30 for cold late muck. Macaris is gone to sh*t

I’ve never had such a horrible experience in my life! Im not from the area but was there for a meeting and said we would order some food! I ordered on their website at 12:15 today, friday, and the order went through took my €60 no problem i went over to collect the order and it’s pitch black, nobody there yet the sign on the door says open at 12, the website and google page both say 12 as seen below!
I tried calling and calling and no answer! Finally get through at 2:30 and the lady said to come over at 3 for a refund so i go over at 3 on the dot and she says I have your food ready I said i dont want the food i just want a refund and the man says well everyone in celbridge knows we don’t open until 3pm
I said literally nothing to do with your business explains thats the case, I explained im not from celbridge and he still refused to give me my refund
After fighting with them for 20 minutes he finally gives me MY money back
Honestly I’ve never had such a bad experience and never left a bad review anywhere but this situation was a joke!

09/03/2026: Shocking deli staff service.
Dark haired Eastern European woman served us. Just plain rude.
Rashers looked like they had been sat their since yesterday, same as eggs.
