16/04/2026: Disgusting food. Didn't even chance eating it as i could have made us sick. The chicken didnt even look like chicken...weird, nearly translucent, stringy texture that you could stretch out like elastic. Put it all straight in the bin.

06/09/2026: 1. Below-average coffee quality to my taste (I'd recommend SoCoffee in Lexlip, it's a perfect alterantive).
2. The service was just as disappointing as the drinks. We were sitting at an outdoor table enjoying the early autumn sunshine, only to be told we should sit in the shade next time.
3. Waiting time - a favorite book or movie is required.
Other than that, everything is perfect.
04/09/2026: Nice place, option of both indoor and outdoor seating in the picturesque courtyard. Good selection of sandwiches, had the vegan one and it was quite tasty. Coffee was good (oat milk also available), blueberry sponge could have been a little better. Prices are ok/average. Friendly staff. Has reopened after being closed for some time - I notice that the previous reviews were from some time ago.

08/07/2025: We had a lovely meal but more importantly, the pints were lovely, no line cleaner taste. Friendly staff, lovely character to the building.
Will definitely be back when I’m in the area for the spuds. 5 ⭐
27/05/2025: Could not be a worse experience. Service was beyond appalling. Male server got the drinks order wrong, even after confirming it with us. No apology just into a huff. Customer service was non existent. Anyways, ordered pulled pork wrap. Absolutely terrible, no flavour, no rub or sauce used. Pork was hard, not shredded or pulled. Stuffed in some dry lettuce, no onion, no jalapeños, no cheese, no beans, no rice. Awful in every way. Place was deserted when we went in. Can see why. Sad

The Oak Bar at the Westgrove

26/04/2025: We were down in the Westgrove Hotel for an event and we decided to have our lunch in here.
Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The service was swift. The food was delicious and fresh. It had a good ambience and the place was big so plenty of room.

22/07/2023: Ordered a space bag thinking they are easy to not get wrong. Ordered 3 hours before it arrived and I only live an 8min drive away. Three pieces of chicken and rest chips - the chicken was way too tough to even eat, would break my tooth. Phone restaurant and was told they can't do anything as I'm only one of few that complain. Disgraceful and felt very disheartened
