The best restaurants in Longford

27/06/2026: Amazing Italian restaurant in our town of Lanesboro ,Food is excellent ,staff are very welcoming and friendly ,lovely warm atmosphere ,and newly added seating area to the front , i can only say we'll worth a visit and you won't be disappointed.

27/06/2026: We had a late lunch here, which was excellent. The Italian dishes, in particular, were exceptionally good. The price-performance ratio is definitely right. The young waiter (presumably the son) was extremely polite and attentive, while (presumably) the mother seemed a bit reserved. We'll be back again on our way back... And on our way back a week later, we went there for lunch again. Superb! Beate had lobster with spaghetti, and I had the famous carbonara! Excellent. I'm attaching two photos.

11/06/2026: We recently held our wedding reception at Frederick’s Restaurant in Islington on 19th May 2026, and it was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. The venue itself provided the perfect setting for our special day, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The food was truly out of this world – every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavour, and received so many compliments from our guests. A very special mention must go to Jason, who was exceptional on the day itself. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care helped make everything run seamlessly. Nothing was too much trouble, and he played a huge part in making our reception so memorable. The rest of the staff were equally wonderful – attentive, friendly, and incredibly hardworking. They ensured that both we and our guests felt looked after from the moment we arrived until the end of the evening. Thank you to Jason and the entire team for helping create such an unforgettable celebration. 08/05/2026: Lovely Irish Country Inn, really homely and traditional. Fantastic food, so tasty with nice little extra touches.... the food is only surpassed by the brilliantly tentative staff, they couldn't be any better! 👏👏 I have dined here twice and fully intend to return. ☺️

03/06/2026: Whoever is running the place , thinks he/she is still in China. I'm not talking about the food , just how staff treats customers. They tell you where to sit , dirty sticky tables , then of course the only cash issue. Thanks a lot Mr Trump ;)

21/05/2026: Girls make a good coffee . Unfortunately the owner need to re look at her staffing in cafe - too many in clothes area where is not as busy as cafe side . Back Coffe area should be for take away people and they directed there .. And front area should be for food and sitting in . The two girls under serious pressure whilst management look on . What happened to rolling sleeves up and tucking in!!!

06/06/2026: Called in here passing through Ballymahon and it didn’t disappoint. We spoke to the owner’s son who was really friendly and let us order off the dinner menu early so we could try their steak. I had the ribeye and it was top notch, excellent quality and cooked perfectly. The whole dish was great, and the Guinness was right up there too. Highly recommend.

29/05/2026: Great option if you are on holidays in Centerparcs and fancy some real food, 5 minutes from the forest, great steaks, good kids menu and overall just a friendly place.

17/06/2026: Very good coffee, delicious toastie/wrap/quiche. Nice Service and supercool socks ;-)
