01/08/2026: Lovely atmosphere and great food

27/07/2026: We came today for a meal and the place did not disappoint. The food was lovely but the waitress and waiter they need to be hugged for how welcoming they were ! We came with our son who had bad humor at the begining but they did everything to make the meal and our time lovely . Honestly in a long time I haven’t experienced such a lovely service. Thank you so much for being sooo kind and so good to us . Definitely will come back !

16/09/2026: Went here for a private party so didn't have the typical restaurant experience but it's a wonderful venue with decently attentive staff.

15/09/2026: A very nice place for hosting an event. We had a group booking for 11 people, and overall, the food was nice. The beef carpaccio was my favourite, and the duck breast was particularly impressive. The main concern was the number of flies during our meal. We were dining indoors but were repeatedly bothered by flies. The staff mentioned that it was difficult to control as the restaurant has outdoor seating and a small garden area, but we still found it quite unacceptable from a hygiene and dining experience perspective. At the end of the meal, after our birthday cake was cut, we asked for the remaining cake to be portioned onto plates. While we were still eating and chatting, one staff member tried to take the untouched cake away, which I had to stop. That said, the rest of the staff provided good service and looked after us well throughout the meal. Overall, the food and service were good, but the fly issue and the handling of the remaining cake could have been better.

08/05/2026: Lovely Irish Country Inn, really homely and traditional. Fantastic food, so tasty with nice little extra touches.... the food is only surpassed by the brilliantly tentative staff, they couldn't be any better! 👏👏 I have dined here twice and fully intend to return. ☺️

31/08/2026: When we visit Longford, Ireland we always stop into John Duignan's Tally-Ho Pub. This location has been a pub since 1875 and was the Winner of Pub of the Year (Longford) at the Irish Restaurant Awards 2022.Our most recent visit was when we were in town July 18-23, 2022 for the Farrell Clan Rally. A comfortable pub in the heart of the city open from 5pm-12am daily. A great place to catch a rugby match or just to share a pint with friends. Nothing fancy here just fine beverages and great service in a friendly neighborhood pub. Thank you to John D. & his staff. Hope to see you at the next Farrell Clan Rally in 2026. We came over again for the quadrennial Farrell Clan Rally 19/07-25/07/2026 in County Longford, IE. This is our favorite pub after a day of exploring when staying in Longford. And only a five minute walk from our room at The Cathedral View Apts. The owner, John Duignan is the epitome of the Irish pub owner, affable, welcoming to locals & visitors, and always pours an honest pint. This pub is open 5pm-12am seven days a week. No meals are offered but there'a a good selection of Taytos LOL. Draught beers are the most popular and they offer all legal spirits, ciders, & wines. We went here after exploring & dining each evening we were in Longford. There really is no reason to go elsewhere for a pint, live music, & great craic. Thank you John & John for your hospitality. 06/06/2026: Called in here passing through Ballymahon and it didn’t disappoint. We spoke to the owner’s son who was really friendly and let us order off the dinner menu early so we could try their steak. I had the ribeye and it was top notch, excellent quality and cooked perfectly. The whole dish was great, and the Guinness was right up there too. Highly recommend.

29/05/2026: Great option if you are on holidays in Centerparcs and fancy some real food, 5 minutes from the forest, great steaks, good kids menu and overall just a friendly place.

06/06/2026: Chocolate Heaven with a Lovely Lunch Twist! Torc Longford is definitely a must-visit for chocolate lovers,their chocolate treats are irresistible. But don’t skip the lunch menu! The chicken and mushroom pie, is a winner, packed with filling, rich, and creamy. One tiny downside: the seats are closely packed. You’ll enjoy your meal… until someone at the next table starts sharing their entire life story. Yep, you’ll know everything about them before you leave (even if you’d rather not 😉). Bottom line: Great food, amazing chocolate, and a cozy (if slightly snug) atmosphere. Bring a chocolate-loving friend and enjoy the pie!

10/06/2026: Stopped off for coffee on way to Dublin. Great coffee and a delicious almond and raspberry bun.

17/05/2026: Fantastic coffee and Turkish Delight. Would highly recommend if looking for a coffee before hopping on the train.
