The best restaurants in Castlebar legal

19/12/2025: We just had dinner here, the service was great the girls were very nice and helpful. The restaurant was very big, quiet as we expected. however the food can be improved in my opinion, we ordered onion soup as starter, it’s very salty we can’t finish one third of it. I ordered medium rib eye steak for main, surprisingly it was burnt so much it tasted bitter! More surprisingly when the manager came he explained the food were supposed to be cooked as they were, onion soup should be salty it’s French the steak is grilled to lock the taste in, he might be right but I think the chef overcooked it. The dessert was good!In the end they didn’t charge us for one set (one set menu is 49 euros), they even didn’t charge for the kids set. In general we were disappointed that we were so looking forward to it the restaurant was designed good and the guests have great space and keep their privacy. And the location right in the hotel, imagine if the food is good you needn’t hunt for food outside, it will be perfect!

12/07/2025: We called in here for tea while in the town. Service was good and friendly. The tea and snacks were nice. Good quality.

31/05/2025: Very nice atmospheric cafe, service at the highest level, the kitchen is very clean, everything is fresh and tasty, perfect for breakfast or lunch, the service was fast, and finally, the coffee is simply incredibly delicious

16/06/2024: This restaurant is closed down but still taking orders and money

29/06/2024: Stopped here for coffees today and only we were enroute to Monaghan we would have returned with them. Coffees had no taste...service was also very poor.
