The best restaurants in Slane

14/12/2025: Brilliant place to eat, simple. The quality of the food is tremendous with the pizza being some of the best I have tasted. The the quality of the food with the lovely atmosphere and and top service from excellent staff and it makes it an all round brilliant experience visiting here. I would highly recommend anyone to dine at Inside Out whether it be casual family dining or a special occasion.

25/11/2025: Excellent food and service. Booked the large room for a 30th birthday dinner, we were medium-rowdy and the staff were great humoured about it. Food was excellent, espresso martini's were excellent, it was all brilliant.

23/11/2025: Went for brunch with my three children and the service and food was top class. Breakfast burrito, acai bowls and pancakes all gorgeous.

13/08/2025: A great Irish Pub. No food (you can buy it elsewhere and bring it in to eat), but a great atmosphere. Heavily populated by very friendly locals. We were there on a Wednesday, and treated to an evening of traditional Irish music with musicians coming and going all night. We made fast friends with Gavin and his wife who were celebrating his dad Sam's birthday. we could not have been welcomed more warmly or treated any better by all there.

24/08/2025: I love the southern style chicken box with the oreo milkshake! This is one of my favourite fastfood places ever. Last time it was emptier, less saucy, etc and the service was slow with two staff members (but this is very very rare), but Gabriela (I might spell it wrong) made my order perfectly (super saucy and cheesy), was super nice and offered great fast service. :D

06/09/2025: I never review anything normally. I have to speak out about the atrocity of a "breakfast roll" and coffe I paid over 15 euro for. I left with the takeaway bag and when I was back on the road I opened it. Firstly, it was not even a roll. It was a horror show sandwich. Two slices of soft, floppy, thin, unbuttered sourdough flanked an absolute mess of barely cooked meat. The bottom layer was a thick battery of cut in half wet soggy flavourless sausages who's only well cooked part were the peeling casings, which slithered off, leaving behind joyness luke warm meat fingers. There were half inch thick puddings the size of the palm of your hand, only cooked on one side. Also deeply without taste. The gooey meat texture sticking to your mouth, offering only sadness. The unsalted egg was sad but it was cooked ok. I was hoping the rashers, of which there were too many, would offer a salty seasoned bite to the rest of the blank meat pudge, but they too were just warm wet plain and fatty. The combination of it all smelled faintly like a wet draining board. It was repulsive. I am not a picky eater. I love a cheap breakfast roll from a petrol station, a gourmet one from a specialist deli, and everything in between. This food was dirt. Also the coffee was completely stale and under extracted, tasted like the water ran straight past the puck. Probably for good reason. Service was confusing. I placed my order for a breakfast roll and was ignored completely from that point on by the person I ordered it from, who didn't ask about butter / sauces and who said yes, they do rolls (a lie). Someone else came and took my coffee order and payment. He was alright. Everyone was standing around confused as to where the q was, who was next, where to get service etc.
