Remember that many people who seek out a Mexican experience do so precisely because of these principles.

31/10/2025: Excellent little taqueria in a quiet neighborhood. The place is small, but you can find a basic table upstairs. It's more than enough to devour your delicious tacos before continuing on your way. The food is quite authentic, very good, and prepared very quickly. The atmosphere isn't crazy, but it's not a pub either :)

04/10/2025: Great place for some good light lunch bites, friendly staff, fairly cheap, buzzing atmosphere, food was delicious and quite varied in the range of menu items. I'd definitely recommend a trip in here if you fancy a coffee and a chat or a light bite. I'll be returning.

14/10/2025: The place to go if you’re looking for great margaritas! Good variety of options for the drinks and the food was great as well, they recommend 2-3 smaller dishes, but 2 were enough for me and the rest of our company to be satisfied. The pork belly is great!

18/09/2025: A center of souvenir shops! Ideal for shelter when it rains! The interior is very beautiful and bright but the center is a little empty due to a lack of shops (at least in this month of September 2025!)

27/10/2025: Extremely rude service and poor food – won’t be back. We stopped into Tequila Jacks in Cork for some drinks and snacks while checking out potential venues for a Christmas party and a family gathering in the new year. Unfortunately, we were met with one of the rudest bartenders I’ve ever come across. We ordered a pitcher of margaritas, and the jug was almost completely packed with ice. When we politely asked if there was actually any drink in it, the barman snapped that there were four drinks inside. When we poured it and questioned where the four drinks were, he said the glass was “too full to count as one” and then laughed, adding that he sells hundreds every week. It was an unpleasant experience from start to finish. We also ordered chicken wings, and when I bit into one, the bone was covered in blood. I know sometimes this can happen and the meat was probably cooked, but it looked absolutely disgusting – so if you’re at all squeamish, I’d definitely avoid these. Between the rude service and the unappetising food, this visit was a complete disappointment. We left and went to another Mexican restaurant in town where we had a far better experience. We’ll be bringing our custom there from now on. I won’t be setting foot in Tequila Jacks again.

Inside there’s usually enough space to chill, plus they’ve got some free sauces you can grab. All in all, a solid spot – perfect if you’re nearby and want something quick but tasty.
