24/11/2024: I love this place, they get everything right. Spicy salsa, delicious pastor tacos, nice nachos. They need to open another restaurant inbetween Mountjoy and Rathmines. Maybe on Camden street or George's street.

19/12/2024: I ordered for delivery on justeat and never received a call or knock at my door. No food left outside either. When I checked the status tracker it was marked as delivered. Never received the order, rang the restaurant multiple times but no answer.

04/12/2024: It was our first time in Galway city and since we travel with a small dog, that is too spoilt to be left in any kennel, we were quite limited in our dining in choices. We found Galway to be very welcoming but this place deserves a special praise. Absolutely lovely cafe near the main street, welcoming and warm. It has a great selection of breakfast options, offers generous portions and a very good coffee. I would highly recommend this place.
22/11/2024: The first time I visited Food For Thought in Galway, I was impressed by their amazing coffee. I enjoyed it so much that I went back later the same day to try different flavors. Their pumpkin spice latte and white chocolate drinks are definitely worth trying. A few days later, I returned with my Irish husband (I’m American) and ordered the pumpkin spice latte again.
While waiting for my drink, a woman asked me if I was in line. I politely responded, “No, just waiting.” Then, to my surprise, one of the workers told her, “You can skip the tourist,” to which she replied, “Yes, you serve us first.” The comment felt incredibly rude and made me not want to return. Just because I have an American accent doesn’t mean I’m a tourist—I actually live in Galway with my husband.
This experience left me upset. It’s never safe to assume someone’s status, and even if the worker meant it as a joke, it was unprofessional and hurtful. Galway thrives on tourism, and I would never disrespect anyone like that. While their drinks are fantastic, I can’t see myself going back after this experience.
If you do visit, their coffee is excellent, and some of the staff are thoughtful and kind. However, be mindful of how you’re treated. For me, that one comment ruined what had been a great experience.

17/11/2024: Todos sabemos que los cócteles son una estafa y nadie recibe ningún golpe por tu dinero.
Pero cuando el entorno es tan encantador como el club de cócteles Stella dentro del cine Stella no te importa.
El menú era interesante. El personal era atractivo y sabía lo que estaban haciendo y el precio era de aproximadamente 14 € por bebida.
Probamos 5 bebidas diferentes. A la mierda. La gran mayoría eran muy agradables.
Prepárate para bajar 100€ por 6 bebidas.
Sin duda volveré a visitar.
29/10/2024: Terrible service, especially for a cocktail bar. Waitress gave us water but never bothered with menus, we had to get them ourselves. We also had to go up and order the drinks ourselves at the bar (which shocked the bartender who said it was table service). Evetually the waitress delivered our drink with barely a word, never mind an apology. For a place that prides itself on its cocktails and service this place is very lackluster.

21/11/2024: Can I start by saying I don't think iv ever given a bad review. If I have it's been that long ago, I dint remember. My husband ate there, I didn't. He said it tasted lovely which is why we are giving it 2 stars. First of all it's card payments only. My husband went to hand them 20 euro and they told him card only. He walked back to where I was sitting to get the card and the staff were clearly talking about him and looked at us as if we had 10 heads or as if cash was some foreign concept. Secondly I hope they wash they bowls properly. There was a staff member with a small bundle of the bowls and was wiping them down with a blue cloth. She didn't seem to spray anything on the bowls or cloth. I just cringed a little and was kinda glad I didn't have anything to eat.

23/10/2024: Went to Hillbillys yesterday 'Rathmines ' for the first time, ordered a dinner box for takeaway, the girl who took my order was very friendly and helpful when I asked her for particular pieces of chicken, I could see that the man doing the cooking was quick and efficient, the only way knock back was the gravy ,as a regular in older established chicken franchises, Hillbillys gravy was a disappointment, their gravy was much too thick and the taste did not reflect the wonderful taste of the chicken and flavoured coating, gravy has to be thick but it also has to be able to flow ,the consistency of this gravy was unfortunately like cement, the dinner box was excellent, staff were really pleasant, get the gravy right, consistency and more flavour and this place will be a winner, John

03/12/2024: Popped in for a quick pint before seeing the missus after work. My review may be skewed given this was my first draught in years but the punk on draught was amazing.
For people who visit here you probably need to temper your expectations and bit. Nowhere else is offering these prices , it's not a restaurant so stop holding the food to the standard of one.
Taking pictures of staff and posting them on here because you're unhappy with the cheapest in Ireland highlight the real problem , which is you.
Have some respect for hospitality staff when they're run off their feet so you can have your 2 euro pint and complain about a steak or burger that's genuinely cheaper than making it yourself.
02/12/2024: Amazing! I love the Wetherspoon franchises, and this one is not different. The prices are modest and fair, the food is nice, the drinks are good, the service is fast, the environment is pleasant for a group gathering, and I don't have anything bad to say about it.
