01/05/2026: Beautiful hotel, attended a wedding here. The bedroom had lovely decor, a queen sized bed and was spotless. The wedding seemed to run very smoothly, small gaps between courses to allow digestion and no tables appeared to have to wait long time. There were only 2 bar staff so the service there could be slow enough at times, especially as the promoted the cocktail list which obviously takes longer to prepare. Few niggles were when serving the toast wine, our table was only offered white and when the bottle ran out they didn't come back to us so some of us didn't actually have a drink for the toasts. Also, the same nearly happened with the tea! The girl moved to another table before checking she had offered everyone at our table. Just staff being either inexperienced or not fully engaged which isn't really good enough when you consider how much is paid by the bride and groom. The food was good and well portioned. The separate reception area for the welcome reception is a major plus for anyone who is looking a wedding venue

30/11/2025: I got a pizza in Tony’s for the first time last night and I was very impressed. Fresh ingredients, cooked in a wood fire oven. The staff are friendly too, I will be back for more :)

06/01/2026: We were the only 2 customers on a Tuesday night in January. They waited for us, they served us and let us eat without rushing or wanting to get us out quickly (like it happened in other places). Food was amazing, we ordered 4/5 dishes each and everything was excellent! Very big portions, we couldn’t finish and we had to take away the excess, that was packed very kindly. Very delighted and will definitely go back! 😀

11/04/2026: Rooms are lovely and the hotel in general is really nice. But very disappointed though as I got my baby to sleep and wanted to order room service. Called twice with no answer and then had to call reception just to be told I couldn't order food, I could get it from outside if I wanted. They advertised 24hour room service. Really bad for a hotel of this standard in my opinion.

08/04/2026: Check in was at 1600 and check out 12 but we could not sleep as from 0830 work men banging kids playing in the hallway both of us on nights very disappointed in the noise

31/10/2025: Not the first time that half of my order was missing when I left. In fact almost 90% of my times going here, there is always something missing that I then have to go back in for. I was also told by the African looking manager that I should have checked my order before leaving. That is not my job to do so, and on top of that there must have been about 6 or 7 staff members looking at the same screen. How they forget anything is beyond me, as they have so many people looking at and packing the same order. Staff need more training, some people need Demoting as their manners are a disgrace and they are supposed to be the front face of the company

26/06/2026: €8 for a small ham and cheese toastie with no crisps. Cheaper proper meals elsewhere

16/06/2026: Food is excellent but service is extremely slow. Have often finished my drink before I even get my food. Have been coming here for years and it hasn't improved.

03/06/2026: Great local chipper with friendly staff and quick service. The food was fresh, portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable. The fish and chips were especially tasty. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a good takeaway in the area.

30/05/2026: Extremely disappointing Too Good To Go experience. I paid almost €8 for two bags and received only four sausage rolls. The advertised value should have been around €12–€15, but what I received appeared to be worth far less than what I paid. When I questioned this, the staff member seemed not to understand how Too Good To Go works and simply told me, “Go somewhere else if they give you more there.” !!!This was rude, unhelpful and completely unprofessional.!!!!!!!! AppleGreen needs to properly train staff on the Too Good To Go programme and on basic customer service. If employees are responsible for handing out orders, they should know what customers are paying for and treat them respectfully. I had previously heard complaints about unfriendly deli staff at this location, and unfortunately this experience confirmed those concerns for me. I will not be returning until staff attitudes and customer service improve…🙄

21/01/2026: Came here on a Sunday when a few other places in the town were completely dead. The atmosphere was electric. There was a good few people in playing pool & they have a very modern jukebox which was going all night. The barman Johnny was great craic & really chatty & happy. He even stood us up a drink which impressed me seeing as we were complete strangers to him. If you like sport like me, they had several screen playing different sports - snooker & football was on. Then when the NFL started, they got a big projector screen going down the back too. Super spot with good pints & very welcoming crown. Had a great night. Will be back for sure

01/05/2026: Youngish lady behind the deli very rude and ignorant, the man at the till had absolutely no manners, a grunt is all I got when I said hello how are you. I gave them both the benefit of doubt the first time but it was worse on my 2nd attendance, will never stop with my bus load of customers again, everyone of them complained about the rudeness of staff !!
