25/06/2025: Was visiting Monaghan and randomly dropped in here. We had coffee and two fallafle wraps. The wraps were amazing and very flavoursome, whoever is in the kitchen knows what they are doing. Service was also great

15/07/2025: Nice place, ordered Chicken madras & chicken Bhuna very well presented and was very tasty, peshwari nann delicious! Complimentary popadums and onion bhajee! Really nice for a Tuesday tea! Will be returning very soon!

02/07/2025: 10/10.Delicious food and the coffee was top class. I bought a bag of the Sú Beatha blend to bring home and the staff were so helpful with picking the right blend and grinding the beans based on how I planned on preparing my coffee! The grilled vegetable and cheese ciabatta was delicious, as was the goat cheese and tomato tart. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Very reasonably priced too for the quality. Looking forward to trying the coffee tasting set next time! An absolute must visit for anyone who enjoys good coffee and good food.

01/07/2025: A lovely spot to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. The coffee is good though not the biggest of servings and there is a good selection of pastries and sandwiches/wraps. The cafe is clean and airy though perhaps a little lacking of colour for me. I would definitely come back again.

06/07/2025: I had a very disappointing experience. I ordered a pizza, but it was extremely overcooked—dry, hard, and definitely not enjoyable to eat. The quality was far below expectations. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish it. I won’t be ordering from here again. Hope the team looks into quality control more seriously.

28/05/2025: I have no idea what happened here tonight i am hoping just a once of but i had a pizza and it was swimming in oil, pizza had no texture and the toppings and cheese just feel off it with grease. The base was wet as the grease leaked through and made me feel sick after a few slices.

12/09/2025: Friendly professional staff. Great food and drink. Room clean and large. Spa very good clean and not busy. Worth a visit.

07/08/2025: Recently attended a wedding at the Four Seasons, Monaghan. As guests we were given a discount code to use. When reserving the room online the system would not accept the code. I contacted the hotel and was told to go ahead and reserve the room and when it came to payment the discount would be given. I received my payment reminder prior to my visit but the discount had not been given. I contacted the hotel and was told it was too late to use the discount code contradicting the previous advice. Was not happy with this at all. If I had known this I would have chosen alternative accommodation. The room was very basic, similar to that of a budget no frills hotel. Was very disappointed with the breakfast, I had the continental as I don’t have a cooked breakfast. You had to pay extra for a cappuccino or latte and were offered cold black coffee instead. The fruit salad for breakfast was fermented, it sat in a big plastic container and looked like it had been there for a few days. Not good at all it could make someone ill. Not impressed with this hotel at all, will definitely not be coming back.

12/07/2025: Today my husband and I shopped in the outdoor furniture end of Flemings and we were truly impressed with the service we received by all members of staff. On leaving the store my husband told them he was really satisfied with how our shopping experience in the store had been. Top marks to Flemings!!!!

05/09/2025: Lovely place with beautiful view to Monaghan Lake. I loved the wrap with puled pork and cheese cake size- unbelievable!! Bit down side with my daughters sandwich -way to plain and to dry. Other then that, its lovely place to eat.

04/07/2025: We went for lunch a few days ago, bought food to the value of €35, I asked for an extra cup to have a cup of tea from the pot my daughter wasn't finishing,only to be informed rudely by the owner that if I got an empty cup she would charge for another tea, we were very surprised that this was a policy and also very annoyed as I am a regular customer as is my family. Needless to say we won't be rushing back.

09/09/2025: I only was in the restaurant, food was slow to come but tasty enough. When the waiter came up to ask for our dessert, she took our order and disappeared, we waited for a hour until somebody noticed us sitting there with nothing infront of us, they were quick to rectify the mistake but that damage had been done and my sisters birthday meal was ruined. Amazing food, terrible service

11/06/2025: We were part of an event held at Hillgrove Hotel, Monaghan for Barry McGuigan the service by Liz and the team looking after the guests was first class as was the food. we stayed at the hotel which the team enjoyed. Highly recommend this hotel.

01/08/2025: Beautiful kebabs with a nice man serving. Don't know how it's not packed. I got a donor kebab and it was gorgeous. Cheap at only €7 aswell

13/08/2025: We usually only get a Happy Meal for our child, and we always have to wait, last time we waited exactly 10 minutes.

08/08/2025: Dunno, how can it be possible, but completely different quality comparing to Dundalk Mcdonalds (which is shite). Monaghan Mcdonalds always the best quality, delicious. Got back 30 eur less change once(few months ago) , only thing I would recommend is separate person at the counter, seems to be too busy for one person doing multiple jobs. Such a mistake.
