09/12/2024: This was just plain weird. We were given a set menu for 45euro with no alternative offered, and told we had to pay 45 whether we ate all the courses or not. Our sullen, passive aggressive , server demanded to know, when we were ordering our starter and mains, what dessert we wanted. We said we really couldn't say just yet which we might feel like once we've eaten our starter and main course, or even if we would want one at all. She sighed and said "I will do my best for you but..." we just burst out laughing. She completely forgot to bring our our drinks order, no water was offered despite glasses on the table, another server then took over and had to ask again which drinks we'd ordered. Once we 'd just finished our dictated starter, yet a third server approached and again tried to make us eat dessert, before we'd had a glimpse of our main course. ...it was chaos and it wasn't even busy, we'd booked early sitting to make the cinema. We had to pay the full amount despite not wanting dessert and not being offered an alternative menu...is this even legal? First time ever I've left without leaving a tip. Appalling service, rude and unhelpful. Ludicrous menu idea. Sorry guys, never again.

08/12/2024: Had dinner here last night and lunch about 6 weeks ago and I hate to say we won’t be back after two disappointing experiences. What was once a highly regarded name in the food scene in Dublin has tarnished. Similar issues seem to dog both visits: staff to tables ratio is way off resulting in very slow and poor service. If you are seated in the farthest reaches, you will be forgotten as the distance from kitchen to table is too much for the few staff. The food is hit and miss, partially down to the lack of staff able to get it to you when it is ready. Dinner was a set menu and while the mezze and snack courses arrived together swift, and were wonderful that’s where our good time ended. Over an hour in, we had to ask where our main courses were after a struggle to get anyone’s attention. It arrived warm and looked like it had sat under heat lamps for too long. Both dishes (mushroom kebab and beef rib) were mediocre and made us realise that like the mezze are designed to be batch cooked, reheated and served. This can work (mezze was perfect) but can fail hard too. We ended up leaving without dessert as we clocked nearly 2 hours there. Nobody offered to take drinks off the bill or ask why we were leaving early. Instead the waitress commented “we get busy and there is a wait”. A table of 4 next to us had similar issues and were being appeased with complimentary drinks. Ours were arriving as we paid the bill - the most attention all night. Lunch a few weeks prior was sadly similar. Food was great when it arrived but we had to struggle to get attention to track down coffees that arrived halfway through our meal. We thought we were unlucky as we were sat in the far end of the space out of sight but last night proved they just can’t cater to so many tables with the current layout and staff. Toilets not serviced and kept stocked also a sign of a lack of service or will to find ways to manage with fewer staff.

03/11/2024: Love a lazy Saturday afternoon here with friends. The spinach Quiche and vegan flapjack are my faves. Sitting outside on a chilly autumn day watching the world go by or visiting the walled garden to chat with the budgerigars in the aviary is a step out of the usual madness.

25/04/2024: La Touche Cafe is awesome! The food was great, service was fast, and the prices were reasonable. I had the pasta on 5 different occasions (creamy chicken mushroom, carbonara both spectacular). And they let me switch meat/shrimp, no problem! Others enjoyed their noodle or rice stir fry, fried chicken burger, sandwiches, and salads. We often ordered the same food as the day before because it was so good. One day we got takeout and the food was still delicious and piping hot when we opened it back at the office. Limited seating, but customers were friendly and moved tables to accomodate our group of 4. Thanks for many great meals in BlueBell! (My team and I were in town for 1.5 weeks volunteering for a local organization. La Touche cafe was a quick lunch walk. We ate there daily.).

11/08/2024: Poor experience again. Wrong drink delivered and never have full range of whisky on their menu. Always put in a special request to sit away from the toilet, it's the first table offered even when there are 10 tables free and there's always a pause by staff when you request to sit away from the door to the toilet!! Needs some improvement on customer service, that's my update on my unfortunately my local.

13/11/2024: Very nice pub. Old wood style with a fire out back. Large comfy couches in the front. A good trad session every Wednesday 9:15 to 11.

06/11/2024: Sunday 3rd November I went into the store for a meal. The first thing I’ve noticed when stepping inside was the extremely strong smell of bleach. We ordered food and sat down. The smell of bleach was still very strong. When I sat down, I was sitting for less than a minute until I decided to take my coat off. The food came and it was nice, no complaints at all about the food. A few minutes after we started eating the girls had to open the door due to the smell of bleach. They were also speaking VERY loudly in Romanian which we knew as we are from Romania too. We finished eating and I went to put my coat back on me when my daughter noticed that there were bleach stains all over my €400 almost new Karen Millen coat. It was VERY obvious that it was due to the cleaning that was done in the store before we entered due to the very strong smell of bleach. I went to the counter to complain to the manager. That was when I was met with the most shocking and appalling behaviour and attitude from THE STORE MANAGER. She went by the name Georgiana. She did not at all take accountability for the use of bleach on the tables when it was VERY OBVIOUS that it was used. Her apron was COVERED in bleach stains yet she stood her ground and said that no bleach was used, even when the store had an extremely strong smell of bleach when entering. She was no help at all, when I asked for her managers phone number she said she was the manager and that she was in charge of every problem related to the store. She was saying things along the lines of ‘what do you want me to do? Take money from the till and give it to you ?’ As well as saying ‘we are opened until 5pm today’ when telling her that I wouldn’t leave until a resolution was given. Her attitude towards me and this situation was absolutely disgusting and appalling and I have no idea how she came to be a store manager if THIS is how she deals with problems that arise due to a fault of her employees. She ended up contacting her manager and I briefly spoke to her on the phone and I was promised that the manager would call me back but I haven’t received a call back. If I knew that I was going to ruin my €400 coat and also be treated with so much disrespect and attitude by the STORE MANAGER, I wouldn’t have went there. What would have happened if a family with a child sat down at that table and that child happened to have licked the table that was previously cleaned with bleach on it ? Absolutely appalling behaviour and attitude from the manager like I’ve never ever came across before with absolutely no accountability being taken for something that obviously they were at fault for. Will not be going to that store again.

06/10/2024: Not worth the price, food was not spectacular. Food was prepared fast, but eggs from microwave is maybe not for me.

28/10/2024: I might not be very objective because this place is the first I went to when I moved in to Ireland and it’s next to my house. Still, this is my comfy place. I love coming here when I want to treat myself, after swimming or when I’m hungover. I love the friendly and warm atmosphere, I feel always very welcome. The food is great and the service is excellent !

17/10/2024: Starbucks located on the harbor. Very stylishly furnished, prices like everywhere else. The Starbucks has a great location and looks chic from the outside. Located on the slope or built into it.

16/10/2024: The staff were not very friendly. It gave the feeling that they were doing a lot of shipping to serve customers. The bathrooms were filthy.
