09/12/2024: Delightful cat themed Italian coffee shop in Bray. Good selection of tasty treats including many gluten free sweet things.
The hot chocolate is amazing. Staff are lovely and the decor is super cute.
30/11/2024: A small café located in a side street near Bray station, the Black Gatta is an extremely welcoming and well-kept place. The underlying themes are books and cats: the former are available to all customers in the large bookcase on the side wall, the latter form the decoration of the café in cushions, napkin holders and pictures. The atmosphere is comfortable, the owners are very courteous. We tried desserts and coffee, all excellent.

The Strand Hotel Bray

08/01/2025: Wonderful hotel! Very cozy room with a view at the beachfront. Extremely friendly and helpful staff! There are two restaurants directly at the hotel, which are absolute to recommend for breakfast and dinner (and a pint of Guinness or two ...). The hotel does not have free parking, so you have to park in the street. We did not have any problem to find a space directly in front of the hotel each evening after we returned from our daily trips. For this prime location, directly at the beach,the parking is not very expensive (1€ per hour from 8:30 to 18:30, with a limit of 10 hours total) - but bring coins, since card payment is hit or miss. All in all a splendid stay - highly recommended!
26/12/2024: Spent our last night here before heading off to Rome and the staff was so nice. We had a twin room on the top/third floor, there is no elevator so keep that in mind. The staff brought up our luggage to our room but we left early in the morning and had to bring them down ourselves.
The room was clean and comfortable.

04/01/2025: Really enjoy this cafe for breakfast and have been there several times. The only minor complaint it’s quite cold inside especially when bringing kids, could do with some heat being on.
Otherwise it’s great food and value for money.

29/09/2024: It was okay.. we only needed a room for the night on our journey. I would have been disappointed if we were going to be staying multiple nights but it served its purpose for us.
26/09/2024: Slightly old and tired. It’s a traders stop with a small bar beside reception and basic food menu. Not a place to visit but not the worst if you stop for the night

21/05/2024: Hard to believe that the place is so busy at 3 pm on a Tuesday afternoon that NO-ONE can answer the phone....
The 'service' aspect is missing from so many services right now that it's comical. Prices are sky high everywhere - you would think staff are trained sufficiently to cover the basics.

13/01/2025: We stayed in the private hot tub room with the sea view. Our experience from start to finish was incredible. The manager and her team were so accommodating and hospitable.
The room was spotless and spacious. The hot tub was gorgeous and looking out to the sea was beautiful.
They do not offer room service but were very helpful in allowing us to order and bring food to the room. We had the meat and cheese board which was stunning. It was excellent value for the quality and quanity of food that we had. Extremely well presented and fresh ingredients.
I could not fault anything about our experience with the accommodation, food or customer service.
You have to bear in mind the rooms are over a gastro pub along the main strip in Bray, therefore there is going to be music and people creating noise, however we did not find this an issue.
04/01/2025: The food was lovely but the prices were so expensive when we said we wanted happy birthday yous didn't do it and you said yous would sing happy birthday and yous didn't come out with a candle on the cake
