10/09/2025: Passing through Kilkee, we stopped at this restaurant and bar, a bit hesitant. It turned out to be an excellent choice! The welcome was warm and friendly. The food was spectacular, exceeding our expectations. My partner chose the baked fish of the day, and I chose chicken breast and rice. Both dishes were well-cooked and served with excellent vegetables. I not only recommend it, but I hope to return.

10/06/2025: Restaurant idéalement situé au bord de l’océan. Nous avions réservé notre table à l’avance, heureusement car il y avait beaucoup de monde. Le personnel était efficace et sympathique et la nourriture délicieuse. Très bonne adresse.
09/06/2025: Our introduction to monks was, if we wanted to eat on the deck we would have to come inside to order and bring our own food and drinks out. We were home from Canada and it had been a number of years since I had been to Monks. The service was rude and abrupt. The Guinness was great. The crab claw starter was excellent. My sister had asked for a salad dressing on the side and was told if it was made then no she couldn’t. The triple fried frozen chips with my not fresh catch of the day was very disappointing as was having to wait and wait for the server to come back to pay.
