The best restaurants in Ardmore

10/06/2025: We were very excited to stay for my birthday, we received several pre stay emails enquiring whether it was a special occasion so were surprised that there was no acknowledgement of the birthday. Our first greeting was a porter telling us we must park underground as the hotel didnt accept liability for cars damaged in the carpark? The Michelin Star restaurant was fantastic, the view from our room terrific. Unfortunately, the rest left a lot to be desired. We were unhappy that there was an open packet of crisps under the locker and no tv channels available but the receptionist was not interested. The service in the bar was dreadful, both by the waitress and the Manager. We spent over €1600 for 2 nights and food and it just wasnt worth it. Ardmore is a beautiful destination, the restaurant is deserved of its Michelin Star but the hotel is definitely not worth the prices charged!

23/06/2025: My daughter and I visited Whitehorses on a sunny June evening.What a treat,we were greeted by a lovely lady and shown to our table.The restaurant has a beautiful relaxed atmosphere ,candles lighting and pretty flowers on the tables set the tone for a faultless evening.All the staff were friendly and efficient . We decided to share a blue cheese and pear salad, we then opted for Fillet steak with delicious pepper sauce.The sides were new potatoes and vegetables ,all of which were delicious.The wine list is impressive and cocktails are also available.I opted for the Charlotte Rousse for dessert.Thanks to all for a perfect meal. A summer evening well spent, a stroll around Ardmore finished off our wonderful evening.

14/06/2025: The fact that we needed to book a long way in advance is an indication of how popular this delightful restaurant is. Also, noting that many locals dine here is another indication. The food is amazing. The service friendly. its good value with generous portions.
