29/03/2024: Ate here on a Thursday evening - our first choice was fully booked so we dined here. Smallish restaurant, ambience not particularly good. We had ribs and chicken wings for starters. Ribs were ok, way too much overpowering bbq sauce. The wings were poor, not crispy and my partner complained about lack of taste. We shared a pizza for mains which was quite poor. The tomato sauce lacked any taste and the cheese was awful. The house chips with mozzarella were ok but nothing special. All in for two people it was €90, that did include a bottle of Prosecco. We will not be retuning.
15/03/2024: Everything was perfect , food was lovely and staff very attentive and charismatic. I would recommend multiple starters so you can taste a full range of what they have to offer.
Would definitely recommend and will visit again when in gorey.

Pizzeria Fratelli's Gorey

03/04/2024: Online order marked delivered despite not arriving. Called pizzeria who claimed it was en route.
They blamed non-existent traffic at 9pm and app issues. Pizza arrived 90 mins after ordering, undercooked and inedible. Replacement also late and cold. Won't ever return.
Edit: You could send the pizza 10 times but it's no use if it ends up in the bin because it always arrives late and cold!
02/04/2024: Called in for a kebab last night and came out with Chips too.... the best chips I've tasted in years, the kebeb was super also.
Highly recomend Fratelli's, I'll definatly be back.

21/03/2024: Great little spot ok prices. Great chpices and lots of other irish products to purchase in store including non coffee related ones. Was quite slow service a second machine could be useful.
100% would recommend.
12/03/2024: Best takeaway coffee in Gorey. Particularly good flat white. Lovely staff. Standing room only.

25/02/2024: This is one of the best Chinese in gorey! A hidden gem. I would recommend everything on the menu, it's so good!
10/12/2023: Ocean is the only consistently good restaurant of ANY kind in Gorey for deliveries. The food is always nice, and they pack plenty into the tubs. I'm leaving this review today because last night there was a hiccup with orders, which was resolved immediately in the nicest possible way, without me having to do anything. In this day and age, where customer service means nothing to some places, but gouging the life out of you is normal, I think Ocean deserves a thank you and a recommendation.
Order directly from their own website, don't use JustEat), for the best prices and service.

Afternoon Tea At the Ashdown Park Hotel

02/04/2024: Lovely Hotel.Central location,close to the town.Staff were very friendly(Reception,Restaurant,cleaners & leisure centre) & helpful from the minute we arrived.We arrived a bit early but the room we requested was available(thank you Savanah).Breakfast was lovely,nice to get the fry served fresh to your table.Room was a lovely size.Seating area at reception was great.Changing room,pool area very well kept.Well done to all.We had a lovely break.Thank you.We will return once you remain competitive.
29/03/2024: Stayed in a deluxe room over the Easter break. Close proximity to Gorey town. The room size was good but quite dated, in particular the bathroom which really let the room down. A few stains on the carpet and marks on the wardrobe - could definitely do with some modernising. Service and check quite poor, on two occasions I couldn’t even contact reception. The biggest shock of all room service didn’t appear to be available - I tried to order a sandwich and was told we would be charged extra but wait for it - they had no coleslaw!!. Breakfast was decent with something for everyone. All in a score of 6/10 would be fair.

30/01/2024: Stayed here for 1 night and i was ok, price and location excellent. Could do with more cheerful and brighter rooms and the general area was great if it was better serviced. Overall a good spot.
