The best restaurants in Gorey

01/10/2024: Staff very friendly. Service was fast but didn't feel like we were being rushed, quite a relaxed atmosphere. Food was lovely, albeit the portions were not very big and expensive for what you get but main reason for losing a star is, despite saying vegetarian/vegan options available there was one main, a stir fry with a bit of rice which was also vegan but there were no vegetarian starters, I was able to get one adapted by asking for no parmesan cheese, which is not a vegetarian cheese, and they obliged but overall disappointed with there being no choice. We did not get a dessert as none of the options really appealed to us. It also wasn't marked what ones, if any, were vegetarian, cheese cake, trifle and tiramisu being three of the options that sometimes contain gelatine.

17/08/2024: One of the nicest meals I had in a long time. The duck spring roles for starter were the nicest I’ve ever had and the rib eye steak was really succulent and tasty. Really friendly staff too. Highly recommend

25/11/2024: DONT order from here- they aren’t even open and we ordered online the took our order and money and never answered. We ended up driving to the restaurant and they have a sign up saying closed. We are down 50 quid not worth it !!

16/11/2024: Hi guys, placed an order yesterday, was charged for it, it never arrived and nobody picked up the phone or answered my SMS. A week later - no update whatsoever and I'm still waiting for my money to be returned.

22/10/2024: It's gone down hill since I visited it some time before the cod is not as good as it used to be, and I don't appreciate being told what to do by the one member of the staff, as I am, as always courteous and friendly to all, but the rude.

19/11/2024: Too be honest the service from the staff was highly ignorant no enthusiasm absolutely not one ounce customer service.

18/11/2024: Coffee not great all staff very nice but I make a better cup of coffee at home great to have a choice in other coffee shops

30/08/2024: I ordered a prime burger they had the audacity to give me a kebab I ate it anyways turns out they but chips as well as donar in it also I ordered a 7up got a coke it also was piped open

12/08/2024: Dropped in as was down from Dublin for the Fleadh Cheoil extremely busy 2 deep at bar given plastic pint glass..bought a large bottle of Bulmers but only got a pint from it this holds around pint & a half but was still charged full price for bottle beer I bought was for take away to watch and listen to the stage music 🎶

05/10/2024: Fantastic service. The pizza was fresh, and ingredients were high quality. Their water is possibly the best bottled water I've ever had.

28/09/2024: Just got a delivery and a lovely young man very polite delivered great manners great food Some places now days delivery drivers are horribly rude but always so lovely apache drivers Gorey 😊

12/10/2023: Haven't been in Gorey in ages, met a friend, walked past this place and decided we would try it out. Decor nice but could do with more soft furnishings to help with noise. Quick seating and taking orders however food was very slow in coming, we had to ask twice for it. When it did arrive, they forgot the chips so they came another 10 mins later. Food was good but nothing suburb. However when came to pay was a bit shocked, Got two sausages (which were a bit well done), three eggs, beans and toast with a can of drink and it was around 18e which i thought was a bit steep. So dont think will be going back

02/11/2024: We had restaurant to ourselves due to Halloween night. Nicest food in long time. Amed the waiter was just so nice left us no rush get us out . We went 6.30 left 9.45 just before 10pm close time. Value service top notch

19/10/2024: Stopped in kind of unexpectedly and glad we did. First off, it's BYOB and no corkage fee. So that's a definite plus. Nice atmosphere. Decent music.playing in the background not too loud or intrusive. Friendly staff and a somewhat concise menu. They seem to do a few things but they seem to do them well. Started off with the garlic bread mozzarella which was outstanding. Basically a mozzarella pizza without the sauce. Really yummy. We both had the house special pasta which is kind of a Cajun meats Italian spin on a pasta dish. The chicken and andouille sausage were great and one of the highlights of the dish was the broccoli. Everything about it was fresh and delicious. Worth checking out if you're in the area. Next time I want to try some of their Asian dishes.

12/10/2024: Sat in for a meal here for a family birthday. We were served by a girl who had very weak English. We don't blame her for the mistakes she made on our order as she never should have been put in that situation. The food came out in dribs and drabs so by the time everyone had their starters the first ones were cold. The mains were very tasty and served at the same time to be fair. The prices were ridiculously high for the portion sizes. We won't be going to this restaurant again.

30/11/2024: 30th of November at 14:20 Very bad atmosphere between the two staff members. The young male was throwing stuff around and was clearly very angry, terrible attitude. No salads available to put on sandwich. No tea or coffee or else they couldn’t be arsed Not a good look for this subway outlet. Not a good look for Gorey either.

16/10/2024: Can't believe I just paid 6e for a 6inch sub no meat on it just lettuce sweetcorn and onions wasn't even toasted, got a foot long with my son but they charged us separately never again rip off, 12e for a roll like
