The best restaurants in New ross

21/05/2025: A shame to have to leave a poor review for this place. We arrived after the Sunday lunch rush (about 3pm) we were sat promptly and had our orders taken rather quickly too. After 45 mins of waiting for our food though, one of the waitresses came to our table to tell us they were out of the beef option. We opted for chicken wings instead. After another 20 mins of waiting, only the chicken wings were brought out. We asked where the rest of our food was, to be told that the entire order had been deleted from the system. Keep in mind that we have a 12 month old sat at our table, who’s been sat patiently for over an hour waiting for his soup. After several apologies, our food was brought out quickly. Too quickly unfortunately, as my fish arrived undercooked. I sent back my food and asked for the bill, as after almost 2 hours we were fed up and wanted to leave. We had to ask for the fish to be comped from the bill (which I would have considered standard procedure, since it was inedible). We were given a handful of desserts from the display; a kind gesture, but unnecessary since we were hungry for an actual meal. I understand they were very busy, but I’d rather be refused a table or be told to wait until they organise themselves better, than to be left disappointed like this.

14/05/2025: Nice location with good views. Food was good but not exceptional. Service however was fantastic. Relaxing environment.

21/09/2024: We had a good breakfast after all day on the ferry to Rosslare, lovely staff, tasty dishes and drinks. Definetly not the cheapest, but I would go again!

27/08/2024: Had the cajun chicken today which was absolutely gorgeous. The fresh fruit and seeds were a lovely touch. Was on my own but sat up at a counter and ended up having a good chat with 2 strangers. Very enjoyable experience. Will return.

21/11/2024: Up from Cork for a weekend and we were told that this place was good and it did not disappoint. Very friendly lovely staff and the prices were very reasonable even in this economy. Also a sitdown option which was very handy given that there was not much in New Ross generally. The munch box was the best option for me and very cheap with loads of variety unit.

08/04/2025: Gone to the dogs lately this place. No staff, closing early, items out of stock, just the latest in a long, long line of businesses dying in New Ross.

04/01/2025: Usually a grey place but this morning, a near full cup of coffee was taking off my table for no reason! I ordered a second to go. It cost me €11.50 in total for. Coffee

10/03/2025: Just had fantastic liver with onions, peas and chips. Cuppucino was good. Good for value and service. Pleasant enough inside.

30/09/2024: My first time trying here it wasnt great the curry was so watery and so salty I didn't realise until I poured it all over my food it went in the bin same as the prawn toast smothered in grease would not recommend

23/10/2024: there was a hair in my sisters food, my ma's batter was hard as a rock, the garlic on mi doner kebab tasted akward, my OTHER sisters chicken was dryer than a dried up well, my nannys chicken was funky and they had vinegar in a lucozade bottle, the server was nice.

08/11/2024: Got a 12 inch munchie box. Unfortunately the rice and curry are in the box so they take up a third of the box, with the 8 inches left in the box it was mostly chips, besides two spring rolls, two chicken balls and a few scrawny pieces of crispy chicken. So pretty much it was an expensive box of chips. The food I did get was nothing to rave about, but still not bad. I won’t be going back. It was desperate munchie box.

27/05/2025: Absolutely appalling don't ever order from here unless you want food poisoning rice reheated chips reheated an absolute joke spent 25 Euros to be sick all night after this place steer clear of here only getting one star because it won't register with none

27/05/2025: Our family of 5 adore this local, delicious spot. From starters to our favourite beef noodles, and you definitely should try the Party box, yum. Such lovely customer service

09/12/2024: got a chicken burger meal, the chips were half cooked and burger was clearly made in a rush. After receiving my order i asked for a garlic dip, i got sighed at and treated with nothing only pure ignorance from the woman. After the big deal made the garlic sauce was rotten too. wouldn’t recommend eating from this takeaway

26/11/2024: I couldn't eat the doner kebab, it just tasted SO bad. Honestly this was the worst kebab i've ever experienced. I will never come back here again!
