The Hungry Monk
Greystones
05/04/2025: The food was absolutely delicious, and even though the place was packed, the service and attention were exceptional. The only downside for me was how dark the place is, but aside from that, I 100% recommend it and weâll definitely be back! The portion sizes are great, and the prices are excellent.

The Horse & Hound, Delgany
Greystones
17/05/2025: Food appalling. Service is terrible.
Could be such a great food venue, However, quality of food and standard of service extremely poor. Chips were over seasoned with a tonne of salt. Prawns overcooked tasteless and muscles same. Iâd imagine an inexperienced chef and young poorly trained staff, is partly the reason, such a shame
24/04/2025: Have to say the food was lovely and the young lady that served us was very nice well mannered and polite I think her name is Tara

Chakra by Jaipur
Greystones
24/05/2025: Graduation Dinner or Great Masala Mystery?
We were out celebrating a major milestoneâour son graduating high school! Spirits were high, and so were our expectations as we walked into this well-reviewed Indian restaurant. The playlist was playing desi tunes, the staff were warmly welcoming (and Indian!), and the dĂ©cor leaned elegantânot kitschy Bollywood. Promising start.
We ordered a celebratory spread: Chakra Thali, North Indian Thali, Punjabi Chole, soft drinks for the graduate, a touch of rosé for my wife, red wine for myself, and kulfi to seal the meal. A feast fit for a proud moment.
But then, the first subtle red flagânot a single Indian patron in sight. A full house, yet we seemed to be the only ones who mightâve grown up with actual masala dabba in the kitchen. We exchanged a look. Cautious optimism turned into culinary curiosity.
The North Indian Thali arrived... and well, letâs just say it couldâve been confused for dessert. A sweetness that left us wondering if the chef had confused halwa with curry. It wasnât badâit was just confusing, like a Bollywood movie with French subtitles and a surprise twist ending.
And then came the Masala Chai Moment.
Now, I donât play games with chai. I double-checked with the serverââIs this real masala chai? Not just fancy tea in disguise?â Affirmative nod. I leaned back, awaiting a warm, spiced elixir of comfort.
What I got instead was... a pot of tea with floating masala tea bags and some milk tossed in like an afterthought. A beverage betrayal. I gently asked for it to be taken away. The server returned with the final twist: "This is how we make masala chai."
That was the plot twist I didnât sign up for.
All said, the staff were kind, the kulfi was lovely, and the milestone was well celebrated. But if youâre going here expecting the soulful flavors of a proper Indian kitchen, prepare for a bit of culture shock. Next time, Iâll just BYOCâbring your own chai!!
12/05/2025: Amazing food, it really was outstanding. . fantastic service, all staff were really lovely and friendly, Mia was our waitress and was so nice. Would highly recommend.

Zenobia

09/05/2025: An Unforgettable Dining Experience
From the moment I stepped into Zenobia I knew I was in for a treat. The ambiance was warm and inviting, decorated with tasteful art that perfectly complemented the cozy lighting. The staff greeted me with genuine smiles, making us feel instantly welcome.
The menu offered a delightful array of dishes, and I found it challenging to choose just one! We opted for a share platter and it was nothing short of spectacular. The flavors were perfectly balanced, showcasing the chefâs skill and creativity. Each ingredient was fresh and thoughtfully chosen, contributing to a culinary masterpiece.
The service was impeccable; my server was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring my glass was never empty and checking in at just the right moments. The timing between courses was perfect, allowing me to savor each bite without feeling rushed.
To top off the evening, I indulged in a dessert that was both beautiful and delicious. It was the perfect ending to an already extraordinary meal.
Overall, Zenobia exceeded all my expectations. Whether youâre looking for a romantic dinner, a celebration with friends, or just a delightful meal, this restaurant is a must-visit. I canât wait to return and explore more of their exquisite menu!
