Grove Bar
Greystones
19/06/2025: Lovely food and very nice service. Pan fried Cod was delicious.
17/06/2025: To start with, I didn't drink inside the pub but sat outside with a group of fellow mountain bikers. The weather could have been warmer but that was outside the control of the bar. There was no external heating but then again it was only 1PM.
The service at the bar was quick and the staff kindly brought the drinks outside to us. They also took subsequent orders from outside, saving us precious drinking time đ.
A few guys bought food which looked nice 'tasty but I can't comment further as I didn't have any. I did however have a packet of tasty King crisps.
Update: I have since eaten in the Groove Bar and I am happy to say the food and service were both top notch.
Update 2: I inquired with a staff member (who I believed was either the head barperson or owner) as to when the lower beer garden would be reopened. He replied: when he's good and ready. So that'll teach the peasants not to question the establishment!
Update 3: I have had a few meals here and each time the food had been excellent and reasonable prices

The Hungry Monk
Greystones
01/06/2025: Five of us had dinner at the Hungry Monk on a Saturday evening and had a superb experience. We were seated at a lovely round table and received first-class service throughout. The menu was seasonal and appealing, with beautifully cooked dishesâsea bass, tempura monkfish, lamb, rib eye, and excellent desserts. Portions were generous, using quality ingredients, well presented. The wine recommendations were spot on. A thoroughly enjoyable evening and highly recommended
14/05/2025: Had a lovely family meal here last week. Warm, welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and a great menu. The food was fresh, beautifully cooked, and full of flavour. Definitely worth a visit if youâre in the area!

The Horse & Hound, Delgany
Greystones
18/06/2025: We felt truly at home at the Horse and Hound and enjoyed a fantastic three-course meal in the restaurant.
The accommodation is a bit winding and has many steps, so you'll need to be a good walker, and there's no breakfast. However, there are delicious sweet and savory treats, as well as tea and coffee, right next door.
From Delgany, it's a quick walk to Greystones. From there, we continued to Powerscourt Waterfall and then to the Wicklow Mountains.
08/06/2025: Portion sizes very small for the main courses

Chakra by Jaipur
Greystones
24/05/2025: Graduation Dinner or Great Masala Mystery?
We were out celebrating a major milestoneâour son graduating high school! Spirits were high, and so were our expectations as we walked into this well-reviewed Indian restaurant. The playlist was playing desi tunes, the staff were warmly welcoming (and Indian!), and the dĂ©cor leaned elegantânot kitschy Bollywood. Promising start.
We ordered a celebratory spread: Chakra Thali, North Indian Thali, Punjabi Chole, soft drinks for the graduate, a touch of rosé for my wife, red wine for myself, and kulfi to seal the meal. A feast fit for a proud moment.
But then, the first subtle red flagânot a single Indian patron in sight. A full house, yet we seemed to be the only ones who mightâve grown up with actual masala dabba in the kitchen. We exchanged a look. Cautious optimism turned into culinary curiosity.
The North Indian Thali arrived... and well, letâs just say it couldâve been confused for dessert. A sweetness that left us wondering if the chef had confused halwa with curry. It wasnât badâit was just confusing, like a Bollywood movie with French subtitles and a surprise twist ending.
And then came the Masala Chai Moment.
Now, I donât play games with chai. I double-checked with the serverââIs this real masala chai? Not just fancy tea in disguise?â Affirmative nod. I leaned back, awaiting a warm, spiced elixir of comfort.
What I got instead was... a pot of tea with floating masala tea bags and some milk tossed in like an afterthought. A beverage betrayal. I gently asked for it to be taken away. The server returned with the final twist: "This is how we make masala chai."
That was the plot twist I didnât sign up for.
All said, the staff were kind, the kulfi was lovely, and the milestone was well celebrated. But if youâre going here expecting the soulful flavors of a proper Indian kitchen, prepare for a bit of culture shock. Next time, Iâll just BYOCâbring your own chai!!
12/05/2025: Amazing food, it really was outstanding. . fantastic service, all staff were really lovely and friendly, Mia was our waitress and was so nice. Would highly recommend.

Rise at the cove
Greystones
06/06/2025: What a wonderful place for a café! The café is located right on the coast and offers a wonderful view of the sea. The coffee was delicious, and the pastries looked wonderful, too. Seating is limited inside, but there are plenty of benches and chairs outside. We also bought some cool sweatshirts and T-shirts with the logo as souvenirs.
30/05/2025: Amazing place, the girls are so friendly

Zenobia
Greystones
15/06/2025: The first time that I went there with my bf, Food and service was 10/10!!! We used a Groupon (3 course meal for two people). The pictures attached are from that first visit.
Second time that we went there, 4 people and we also used Groupons (couple A: three course meal for two, couple B/me&bf: two course meal for two). Service was horrible, food like always is delicious. Everything was served completely different: entrance was served for a different girl that threw the dishes on the table, without saying who it was or for whom, I had to ask her and she did not know, so she went to ask the girl who had taken the order. Main courses were ok. Desserts: we asked for baklava and coffee. They gave us 2 pieces of baklava per head and we had to share the Arabic coffee (first time they gave us the same amount of coffee but for two, and first time they served us in beautiful cups and now we were served in expresso cups).
Bill: girl who took the orders was so rude. She tried to scammed the couple A, by trying to made them pay for the baklava + coffee, but the dessert was included in their bill (three meal course for two). For us, couple B, instead of pay 7.50⏠for baklava they charged us 8.50âŹ. Explanation, they said that they need to update the menu đ
We wonât came back.
First time was 5/5, now food 5/5 and the rest 1/5.
14/06/2025: As a Lebanese living in Ireland, it has been difficult to find true authentic food, and I'm so glad to have found this gem of a place. The food is authentic, delicious, and service is impeccable. My favorite were the chicken and lamb skewers, the baba ghanouj, tabboule and arayes. The coffee at the end with knefe for dessert are a must-try. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

Las Tapas
Greystones
19/05/2025: We needed a short break to get a bite to eat before heading back north, and this came across my radar. It was a wonderful restaurant with great, varied, dishes and great service. The atmosphere was set by the pictures, the hung herbs, and the images on the walls. A terrific place!

Bochelli
Greystones
08/06/2025: This is such a great restaurant. The food was unbelievable, such a vast menu to choose from. The service was delightful also, lovely atmosphere. Very reasonable in price also. Highly recommend.
02/06/2025: We went for lunch and overheard someone saying âthe best pizza!â. At the time we were sceptical but, wow!
My husband had the meatballs as a starter and I had the dough balls. The meatballs were the best he had in Ireland!! The dough balls were good but the dough was slightly overdone. A tip to the chef - let the dough rest and it will be a lighter experience.
As a starter we both ordered pizza and the feedback was âThe best pizza in Ireland!â đ«Ł
Keep the good work!
Ps - forgot to me tion they allowed us to sit inside with our puppy!
