A luxury authentic old world hotel with superb personalised service! Reminds me of the Ritz's, I visited 20 years ago which had a similar feel with the quality of service. Rooms, views, gardens, food, classical piano at dinner and further musical entertainment in bar after dinner. In a world where hotels are more efficient than personal, this hotel stands alone. From the lovely lady in reception to service staff, the experience is warm, inviting and genuine. The rooms are not your typical instead lots of character and spotlessly clean. One feels really taken care of and this is due to the attentive owners who are present everywhere. This is so rare and it ripples throughout to the happy staff. Thank you Brian and Abbeyglen staff for a beautiful fun experience. We will be back soon!

A Magical Stay at Abbeyglen Castle… From the moment we arrived at Abbeyglen Castle Hotel, we were treated so well. The warm welcome from the staff set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable stay. We stayed in a double suite, which was incredibly spacious, traditionally furnished, and offered all the comforts we could have asked for. The bathroom had a freestanding bath, the bed was plush and inviting, and the ambiance of the castle made for a truly unique experience. The staff at Abbeyglen were exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. The highlight of our visit was the evening dinner with live piano music, which created a wonderful atmosphere. I had the Lobster Thermidor, and it was simply fantastic—cooked to perfection, rich, and full of flavor. The entire dining experience was top-notch, from the service to the food and entertainment. If you’re looking for a charming and luxurious stay in a castle with outstanding service and a memorable dining experience, Abbeyglen Castle Hotel is the place to be. We can’t wait to return!

The hotel is very charming, the staff very welcoming and the room was very clean and spacious. We did not eat at the restaurant in the evening but the included breakfast is very complete. The only downside is that we hadn't planned to eat at the hotel restaurant in the evening but we almost felt forced to eat there after the complimentary glasses of prosecco and some reflections at breakfast the next day as to why we didn't come. Apart from that the experience is unforgettable and we will surely come back one day!

A beautiful hotel in an equally beautiful area. The evening event, where you're offered a glass of Prosecco and the owner tells you a bit about the history of the hotel, was unforgettable. Breakfast was also fantastic in a lovely atmosphere.

We wanted to spend a night in a castle. Well, it's actually a former orphanage founded in the 19th century, so it's not that old. The decor, with its four-poster beds, monumental fireplaces, throne-like armchairs, and knight's sword hanging on the reception wall, is just there to set the mood. The clientele is as austere as the place. It's true that the weather was already rather gloomy outside, but nothing warmed it up inside. There are still some positive points: the attentive and friendly staff (especially the young French woman), the layout and cleanliness of the rooms. We didn't try the restaurant, which was too refined for us with a 10-year-old. The breakfast is good, but there isn't enough choice compared to cheaper hotels. The large park invites you for a morning stroll; unfortunately, the lower part was undergoing construction. Oh, I forgot, the fire alarm went off at 5 a.m., forcing everyone to get up and head to the assembly point. The castle ghosts were nice to wake us up. Good hotel, but not worth the price.

We enjoyed two nights at the Abbeyglen while attending a wedding there. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was great, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful and the décor is lovely. We had a lovely stay.
