Fairytale venue for my cousin's wedding. Charming, high end hotel with impeccable service, exceptional food and real character. The rooms and common areas are refined and elegant without being stuffy or uncomfortable. Staff was absolutely lovely and made the experience one we won't soon forget. Location is wonderful ...you are kind of secluded, but in a few minutes walk you are in Clifden for shops, pubs, etc. Hope to be back soon!

What a wonderful jewel in the crown. The staff are so professional, friendly, and helpful. The food was delicious, with ample servings (and more should you want some). A family run business (hotel) that's now in its second generation and the family work hard at making sure ALL guests are comfortable and looked after no matter the time of day.

Nice family break. Quite remote. Good vibe
In the bar at night with complimentary Prosecco and story telling by the owners. Can only fine dine in restaurant there is no evening bar food so itβs quite expensive especially with teenage smd young children. We went the short journey into the town to dine after first night.

Seven years ago.
I stayed here for 2 nights as a solo traveler in April 2017.
Ireland is further away than before, but I want to go there again.
Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the staff was very friendly.

I admit I'm a food snob, food was absolutely delicious and presentation was superb. If you're a foodie this place is a must visit. Staff was warm and attentive. Short walk to quaint town with plenty of local shops.

Stayed for 2 nights with dinner included. I booked it at very short notice just to get away for a few days. I knew nothing about this hotel so just went with it. OMG from driving down the driveway into the Hotel, just seeing the scenery it took me by surprise. My first words were "Wow, this is nice". It takes you back in time with the entrance, the two regal chairs in the hallway, the fires burning brightly in each of the rooms downstairs, the ambiance of the place, the friendly staff, it just ticked the boxes. We had a very nice room with a four poster bed (think it was a standard room). Lots of the rooms look really good and spacious, so decide what you want!. The staff were lovely, down to earth, genuinely friendly. Its very much a family run hotel. We had the most delicious 5 course meal on both nights. Its the small details that struck me, the white table cloths, the beautiful cutlery and plates, the attention to service. Breakfast was also really good each morning, choice of cereals, fresh fruit salad and a freshly cooked breakfast menue from the kitchen and again a small but for me important detail, freshly squeezed orange juice. Had a great stay, Thank You to each and every one of you who worked to hard to achieve this. We hope to visit again within the next few months.

This was a return visit for me. I visited on a Men Of Worth tour in September 2022, but my sister missed it because of illness. In May of this year, I took her there to see what she had missed. Ronin greeted us like long-lost family, and made our visit more than memorable. Abbeyglen Castle is now my sisterβs favorite hotel ever. We did several meals, breakfast and dinner, at the restaurant. We were never disappointed, and the combination of brilliant food and live music made every evening special. Thank you, Brian and Ronin, for an incredible stay.
