The food was very tasty and the staff was a 10.

Delicious, moderately priced, large portions. If I have a chance to come to Westport again, I will come back to this restaurant.

I keep coming back for the chicken wings – they’re super crispy and there’s a generous amount. One time I couldn’t even finish them all! The seafood chowder is amazing, best I’ve had in Westport town

Lunch at this charming pub in Westport. Turned away the night before due to late arrival, which was understandable. The service was decent, but it was surprising to forget eggs in a full Irish breakfast 😉. Apart from that, the bangers and mash were excellent, the fresh pasta was good and plentiful, and the atmosphere was like a village pub. The bar meals were very nice and the quality was excellent. I highly recommend them.

Best chowder in Ireland. Have been coming here for 6 months but 1st time to try their chowder. Wow!!!

Food was super tasty and reasonably priced for Westport. We got the Lobster ravioli and the steak sandwich. The menu was bilingual Irish-English, which was lovely, however, servers didn’t appear to speak Irish, unfortunately. That being said, service was still brilliant. Cosy and traditional with a modern spin - very trendy.

Nachos to start, these were delicious and a decent portion size. We got the steak sandwich and lasagne. Steak sandwich was delicious and pepper sauce was good. Lasagne in my opinion contained too many herbs which overpowered the dish. Would prefer normal chips to skin on fries. Overall we enjoyed our dinner and the staff were attentive.

This was our second trip to Westport and we were lucky to have visited An File previously. We brought family this time and we were not disappointed. The staff were great (Maria and Emily). Both did it all from waiting on tables to handling the bar and providing advice on the menu options. Very friendly and helpful. The food was great and large portions. Our daughter and her boyfriend got the muscles and were shocked to see the large pile presented to them. We also ordered a main portion of wings which were don't perfectly. Again, a very large portion. An File was a great starting off point, as we were staying right around the corner at the Wyatt. This is also a great spot for watching sports and enjoy seeing the crowd all get into it, while enjoying a nice meal. Although it's not a large place, they seem to make the most of it and we've never had an issue finding a place to sit. Highly recommend if you're looking for a friendly, welcoming spot that offers large portions of good food and very good service.
