I brought my boyfriend for his birthday dinner on Friday and we had an amazing experience. He's quite a picky eater so I was a bit anxious but the menu had great options, both for him and for me who'd be a bit more adventurous. I ate caviar for the first time and was not disappointed! The venison for main was full of flavours and cooked perfectly. But great food is nothing without proper service! We had Stéphane looking after us and he was everything you wish for in a waiter. Funny, attentive and knowledgeable. Finally, special mention for the wine list which is one of the best I've seen in Ireland. Well balanced mix of different wines from various countries that will suit all budgets. I've seen some reviews complaining about pricing but I think it was worth every euro as the quality of everything was top-notch. Also if you go for the cheaper menu, you can count around €55 pp for 3 courses and a glass of wine which is what you'd pay anywhere else.
As we say in French, chapeau 👌 We will be back!

What can i say! This is a hidden gem big time! We had the set menu and both starters were sooooooo good, well presented. The mains did not disappoint either. Had the Cajun salmon and my girlfriend had the chicken dish (can't remember exactly) but oh my god they both tasted devine and the portions were perfect, wasn't stuffed too much but just perfect. The desserts then came out and blew us both away! Cannot fault the service, our waitress was an absolute gem and knew how to wait a table with guile and made us feel so relaxed. We also were lucky to get the cosiest table with lovely music and nice wine. Best night dining I've had in a long time. Reasonably priced too for such high quality experience. This place is a must!! Thank you

I hope Stephan reads this.
Primarily a restaurant must be about the food,everything else is secondary,you can put up with a lot if the food is top notch.
But.... not only is the food first class,(I had venison) everything else was too.
It's not big,it's got character as has Stephan and the lady that met us at the front(forgive me for not remembering your name) .
The only problem is....it's so good ,many know it it's not huge ,so you must reserve a table.
Granted we went on spec and they very kindly fitted us in .
As the French might say "un repas exqui". Bon soir a tous.

Food was excellent and service was very friendly and efficient in this hidden away little restaurant in Westport. At €155.00 for two, having the set menu with two glasses of wine and a pot of tea, it's expensive but it's not fine dining. Little things like paper serviettes instead of cloth napkins and a chipped teapot mean that although a pleasant restaurant it's certainly not a five star experience overall.

We are from Germany and were looking for somewhere to have dinner. We happened to pass by and got a table for two people. We were surprised to get such good food here in Ireland. It was a bit more expensive than usual, but the quality was worth the price.

Having been here prior to Covid and having a great experience then we decided to try again and we were not disappointed. This restaurant offer 2 different 3 course menus, one at €39 and one at €68, we tried both menus, I had one and my husband had the other and I have to say both were fabulous. Staff are very attentive and chatty. This is a hidden gem which is well worth a visit.

Fantastic service, lovely food, great wine. We really enjoyed a wonderful evening dining here. The only downside was that we felt a little rushed (so that they could have time to prepare for the next customer?).
