An Port Mór in Westport

Okay, image if Chapter One and the Winding Stair went on holidays and opened a restaurant in Westport, Co. Mayo. It is honest, homely and true Irish fare with one of the best interpretations of a salmon starter. A venison main, which is not easy to present, is one of the finest I've ever had. It is a true test of a fine restaurant on how to offer such a complex meat. It was perfect! The desert brought back memories of my Granny's best rice pudding. Not at all easy to replicate to such perfection. All topped off with excellent service and wonderful atmosphere! Thank you to all the team at An Port Mór! I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! We walked in on a busy Friday night without a reservation, but the friendly staff assured us they would find a table for us later. True to their word, we got our table right on time. The dining experience was fantastic, with delicious food and excellent service. It was truly a memorable night out. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere!

A Fabulous Evening at An Port Mór We had a truly wonderful evening at An Port Mór. The food was absolutely superb—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with top-quality ingredients. The service was equally impressive. A special mention goes to Sophie, who was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel completely at home. Her warmth and professionalism really elevated the whole experience. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back!
