We had our best meal in Ireland - after touring the country for two weeks- North & South, at the BlackPig Wine Bar. Our waitress was amazing- she went above and beyond, the food was delicious and the wine list was fab! This was the highlight of our trip and our visit to Kinsale.

Stumbled on this great restaurant whilst in Kinsale for the night (Aussie touring Ireland for 3 weeks). My wife and I had a wonderfully memorable dinner sharing plates of monkfish, prawns, croquettes and charcuterie board washed down with a very nice Tempranillo. Fantastic food and very friendly staff in a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Delicious food superbly crafted with literally hundreds of wines to choose from. We were lucky to get a walk in seat at the bar….book early for a table and in this case - believe the hype!!!

Typical tapas dishes, most dishes are cooked well, the prawns we’re most delicious and highly recommend. The waiter was a little inexperienced but friendly, the garden seating was beautiful.

Wonderful ,delicious food and drink Spent lovely evening at The Black Pig The decor and ambience restful and beautiful Cheese board and mushrooms on toast with wine so good ! Puddings -what a treat ! Service welcoming , knowledgable and efficient

We made a reservation here before leaving the states, based on reviews- GOOD DECISION! The place is very small & adorable! Our servers were excellent- we had 4 tapas style items - an Indian dish, mushroom dish, smoked mackerel pâté & some prawns as well as a nice bottle of wine. Very reasonable (under €100 including a bottle of wine!) food was EXCELLENT & we were STUFFED - Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options & SUPER accommodating! Very glad we chose this place!

19/11/2025: Right, so Man Friday—absolute gem. Walked in and it felt like stepping into a cosy coastal hideaway, all soft lighting and that old-school charm. I kicked off with huge juicy oysters, followed by scampi that was golden, crisp, and downright addictive. The back sole? Melt-in-your-mouth magic. And fair play to the staff—Natalie had the whole thing running like clockwork, no fuss, just good vibes. €96 well spent, no regrets. If you’re in Kinsale and not eating here, you’re missing a trick.
